Those are awesome! Did you guys have the separate box that was just for rewinding the tapes? I've still got my special edition VHS through The World Is Not Enough. Just can't part with them yet. Keeping them for sentimental reasons, but I never watch them anymore. Once you go Blu-ray you can't go back.
  • No, I actually made the covers during the last few days, with the Skyfall and NSNA covers designed today. I got the series on nearly all of the formats, including Blu-ray, and Owned all of the original VHS releases (including the infamous WHV release of OHMSS, notorious for being butchered down.) and the three JB007 Collection sets one for US, One for UK, and One for Australia.

If these were ever available (in an alternate universe), I would snatch them up immediately. I love the worn, rugged look to them, too.

Thank you guys! It took me a lot of hard work to get these made. I also did these a while back:

  • And (Not meaning to get off subject) a Bond version of a Dirty Harry film

It's Alright my friend, just some friendly advice. It's okay if you have an art thread. Which I suggest you should start one. You have a lot of great projects on here. :)

I second that, the VHS covers are really, really cool that you've done, you should make your own art thread and post some of them every now and then.

Maybe I will. Right now, I'm editing a video showing the difference between the retro style UK (Precert) and US release, logo wise. I'll put it up in a little bit.

Wow, that first lot of covers have unexplainedly aged quicker than Bond in Skyfall :))

Nice work though! Looking forward to seeing more.

I can't really comment on the differences between the two, other than the 3D CBS FOX logo has a cool intro. As someone interested in graphic design, I always loved the old 80s film logos with their blue/chrome surface shine and early 3D effects.
  • One more thing for now.

  • I have 5 Bond VHS tapes. They're of mismatched sets though. I have 2 from the "James Bond 007 Collection", one from the 1988 series of tapes, and another two that I'm not quite sure of. I'll post pictures when I get the chance.

    As of Now I have:

Diamonds are Forever (MGM/UA "Gold leaf series" labeled "Connery Classics" - dated 1988)

Dr. No (MGM/UA "The James Bond 007 Collection" - dated 1995)

Goldeneye (MGM/UA "THX digitally mastered" - dated 1996)

    Tomorrow Never Dies (MGM/UA - dated 1998)

The World is Not Enough (MGM/UA "The James Bond 007 Collection" - dated 1999)

You have the original first editions of GE (Revised) and TND from what you were describing. I have three editions of GE myself: the very first non-THX release (with different trailers despite some are the same [JB007 Collection, Heat]), the revised THX edition, and the "Deluxe Letter-Box Edition", also THX.

    From the VHS.
  • I have a question, does anyone own any one of the Warner Home Video releases of the Bond films? The ones with the black and white cover inserts that had either Poster art or a still from the film? I was reading up on those and it's said they came in a "Library Size" cover. I was wondering if that meant the standard black clamshell case or something else.
  • I have all the 1982 Warner large box James Bond UK Vhs, bought new in the 80s, haven't got a clue what they are worth yet after 30 years sitting on a shelf, anyone hazard a guess
