When you constantly compare your own age to that of the Bonds. "Well, I'm older than Connery was in Dr No, but thankfully I have a long way to go before I hit Roger Moore in A View To A Kill. But then there is literary Bond, is my life over at 40? - the dangerous age...."
  • Let's remember to number these guys. @JamesBondBlog was #93. And yes I can imagine comparing my age to that of the Bonds. Fortunately I'm not there yet.
  • It seems this thread is (maybe) for humor purposes only but if we were to take it seriously, would simply say, having seen every James Bond release, every Bond release at the theater since the 1970s, own every James Bond release for home viewing, and maybe above all else, participating on a James Bond fan forum such as we are

Ok, haven't read much of the literary side of Bond, there will be others who have taken the time to read the novels, and if that's a black mark on my behalf for Bond credentials, then I accept it, but other than that, content to label oneself as a Bond fan

Yeah I pretty much started it just for fun. Some of these are real and some probably aren't. But you're definitely counts. So we're up #95. ;)
  • 95) You suddenly have an inexplicable urge to drink McCallen.

    96) You go the opening midnight screening of Skyfall on the 7th despite the fact that the city that you live in is being hit by a snowstorm.

    97) At said premiere you win 2 Bond posters with your knowledge of James Bond trivia.

    98) You watch movies that don't look that good merely due to the fact that it has a Bond star in the cast.

    99) You choose to sing "Nobody Does It Better" on karaoke night with your friends.

    100) You start a thread called "You Know You're a Bond Fan When" on a James Bond fan site.

    101) You're sat with a bottle of Heineken and you think to yourself, "But this is just so wrong"
  • 102) You've used nearly a stick of butter and a copper frying pan to make some scrambled eggs.
  • 103) You hear Gerard Butler mentioned and your first thought is of him as the Devonshire technician from Tomorrow Never Dies.
  • You know your a Bond fan when there is a James Bond movie scheduled to be shown on network television and you watch the film in it's entirety, even though you have already seen it numerous times before and personally own every one of them on either video or DVD and can watch them whenever you like.

I actually devote a period of the year to doing a back to back marathon of the movies. I refer to this as Bond Season. It usually happens in October or November. These movies are strictly Autumn/Winter/Christmas things for me. That marathon is the only time of year I watch them.

Mainly because there are so many of them I can't just pick "one I fancy" so to speak. It's easier the watch 24 (I include NSNA) films once a year than 1 film 24 times!

...when after visiting the men's room, you say one of these lines:

    * see you later, alligator.
    * I think she got the point.
    * Bitch. Your problems are all behind you now.

    (106-?)

When you buy an upgrade you didn't need of a film you own just because it's got a nicer cover...

That's lucky #107. Let's see how far we can keep this going.
  • #108 You reprint artwork covers and buy Blu-ray cases to house all your Bond 50 BDs.

I work in a supermarket and you know you're a Bond fan when you think of him every time you see Rock Salt.

Hey the abbreviations we all use for the Bond films all stick in our heads eventually. Whenever I see YOLO I think "it should be YOLT".

That's #110 and yes AVTAK forever changed my perception of rock salt. Not that I had one at the time. ;)

Here in Barcelona there's an Automovile fair, and some years ago I went there to see an exhibition of Bond vehicles. I remember Little Nellie was covered in patches and honours. I wonder if it was an official exhibit or not. Anyone can help?

#112 When you know how to play Baccarat from reading Casino Royale

#113 When you have a severe hatred for someone who claims to be a Bond fan because they've seen the latest film

#114 Whenever you cook an omelette you smirk

#115 Whenever you fall over you shout the infamous 'Roger Moore Groan' (the first sound you here on ) :D
  • Every time you see a Jaguat you think about what M's last ride could have been a heck of a lot more comfortable than the Aston Martin.
