    I think you need to quote the full passage from the first chapter of Casino Royale - which is what I take it that you are referring to here? That way maybe we can be of more help.

    And yet he spends a lot of CR and almost all of QoS doing things his way, working outside of the parameters of MI6's "control." In Skyfall he does the same, sneaking behind Mallory and the others watchful over MI6 to do things his way once again. The point is, Bond is briefed as always in the films, yet how he completes his mission is all his way.
