Yes, that is exactly what he meant. It is closed. We will not get the answer or explanation of clues. That round is completely finished. :-t

So someone - anyone - can restart it. I am just not up to that at this time.

Would someone else please take over and give us a good character to guess? Thanks!

@Baltimore_007, poor form to leave us without giving the answer, I say.

Well, it is his prerogative to quit. A shame it happened but let's move on.

Anybody care to take over? I am swamped now, otherwise I'd love to because I can never guess the answers!

OK I'll give it a go.

    1) I could be misunderstood as having had a heavy night at university

    2) I hold a rank below Bond but in a very different outfit

    3) They probably didn't believe I had nothing to declare

    Thanks, @Tokoloshe!

I already have pretty much no idea, but I'll wing it with this guess:

    Christmas Jones

    Christmas Jones

Nope, way off the mark there.

Yes - well, no surprise! :)

OK - Kamran Shaw (however it's spelled) from TLD

Your second guess, however, is correct. Humph!

    1) I could be misunderstood as having had a heavy night at university

= "a hangover from my Oxford days"

    2) I hold a rank below Bond but in a very different outfit

= deputy commander of the eastern district of the Mujahideen

    3) They probably didn't believe I had nothing to declare

= Having trouble at customs before Kara's concert, and a little pointer to the right film with "nothing to declare".

Well done 4EverBonded, your turn to set!

    Okay, let's see ...

    Clues:

    1) There is a delay

    2) I don't have a lot to say, but I have Bond's attention

    3) I seem to get in the way

Well done @4EverBonded. Very impressive guessing it that early. :-)

Oh it was a lucky guess, honestly.
The only other time I was in charge of the character, I think I made it to four clues before someone guessed. :D

    1) There is a delay

    3) I seem to get in the way

    4) My endeavors are interrupted; I mean no harm

    5) Moneypenny would like to trade places with me

    6) A famous city in my country has been described in the past (not in a Bond film) as "wonderful" in a song ...**

    7) Bond is cunning.

** Oh no, not in a Bond film! But it helps you guess the name of the city, I think, and that could help you.

Ah ha! You've got it, Mrcoggins. :-B
The answer is the lovely Danish interlude named Inga Bergstrom in TND.

Here are the answers for the clues:

    1) There is a delay (Bond and the lovely Inga have a forced delay due to Moneypenny's call)

    2) I don't have a lot to say, but I have Bond's attention ("Little?!" - but she has got Bond's attention all right, even without saying a word)

    3) I seem to get in the way (She is rather physically in the way when he is on the phone)

    4) My endeavors are interrupted; I mean no harm (she is not a villain, really harmless, and her endeavors were ... you know, all the lovely things they were getting up to)

    5) Moneypenny would like to trade places with me (oh yeah!)

    6) A famous city in my country has been described in the past (not in a Bond film) as "wonderful" in a song ...** (really old fashioned song from ages ago: "Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen" ) ;)

    7) Bond is cunning. (Yes, that refers to the "cunning linguist" remark of Moneypenny's.)

Well, that was fun for me. Over to you now, @Mrcoggins!

Thanks 4EverBonded whilst I'm quite happy to take the win I don't have much time at the moment so I will let someone else run the next round over to who ? Feel free to jump in.

If there is no objection, I'll take this round. I'm normally not very good at these things, but I haven't done one in a very long time.

    So let's get this started-

    1. It seems that I am being ignored

    2. I am in imminent danger, but I am unaware

    3. It could be said that I'm a bit of a "desk" character

    That's a good start, @MayDayDiVicenzo. :)

I need a bit more time to come up with a guess, though... I'll be back soon. Glad you get to have a turn, too. (thanks, Mrcoggins)
