Change the actor in a movie and improve it!

I'm interested in what you come up with- it can be any movie, not just Bond of course. It could be a casting that really almost happened or something you completely made up! What casting changes would have helped a movie!

Off the top of my head:
* Michael Keaton in Batman Forever
* Timothy Dalton in GoldenEye
* Jodie Foster in Hannibal (or Julianne Moore in Silence of the Lambs, I could go either way)
* Leonardo DiCaprio in Attack of the Clones & Revenge of the Sith
* Edward Furlong in T3
* Replace Travolta & Cage with Stallone & Schwarzenegger in Face/Off

and this last one would have been impossible since he died, but:
* Brandon Lee in The Matrix

    HOW DID I NOT THINK OF THIS? That's an inspired bit of fantasy casting, that is.

    I will steal these two...
    * Michael Keaton in Batman Forever
    * Timothy Dalton in GoldenEye

    And add the following...

    - Jim Carey & Cameron Diaz in Son Of The Mask
    - Robert Mitchum & Lee Remick in Taken (made in the 1970's)
    - Danielle Harris in Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers

    No, he's branched off.

    Yeah I know, got to love Tommy. Makes Lazenby and Brosnan look like Lawrence Olivier in comparison.

    Kenneth Williams instead of Michael Cain in Get Carter.

    :)) The scene when the mobsters confront a naked Carter would have been interesting.

    Hugh Jackman as Anakin in Star Wars II and III (even if the prequels need more than changing cast to improve them)

    Katie Holmes in The Dark Knight

    Winona Ryder (or anybody) in Godfather Part III instead of the princess of Little Italy

    Indeed, "you're a big man but you're out of shape" scene would have been played beautifully I feel.

    Connery instead of Lazenby in OHMSS.

    I know that OHMSS is held in high regards among those in these forums, but to me Lazenby's still the one actor to play Bond who never really brought anything new to the table. Can't help feeling Connery would have at least brought the same hard edges to the role that he always did.

    Can't say it's an improvement per se, but the fact that Frank Sinatra was this close to playing "Dirty" Harry Calahan always makes me wonder what might have been. Of course, Clint Eastwood was absolutely awesome in the role. But still . . .
  • Lazenby instead of Roger Moore in any of his 7 films.
  • Christopher Walken with a cowbell instead of Albert Finney for Kinkade...yahooo!

    I cannot quite see it, but would be a massive improvement over Reynolds, sure.

    Same can be said pertaining to Halle Berry in DAD

    Sir Roger Moore in the role of Kincade from Skyfall. Great actor, and if makeup and perhaps a beard was applied, it would take a keen eye to notice that it was Moore. Only us the true fans would know. Have we ever seen Moore with a beard? The only non-Bond Moore films I've seen are Street People (with Stacy Keach), and Fire Ice and Dynamite (both utter stinkers to be honest)

    Moore as Kincade would have been very distracting and taking attention away from the story and the character, and believe me EVERYONE would have known it's him.

    Moore had a beard in North Sea Hijack, in which he played the anti-Bond.
