Great to see the battle coming down to the two titans of the series. I think Sean should win, but would not be upset if it went the other way. Really glad to see so much love for Sir Rog.

Although Sean Connery IS James Bond, it's his attitude to the role and his commitment over all those years that lets me prefer Roger Moore. SC defined the role in his first two films, but hated the franchise for quite a while. For that, RM deserves to win on a James Bond Forum.

I disagree. The best Bond deserves to win, not the most hardworking or most committed. I love Sir Rog and of course vote for him if you think he is best, but this should not be a personality contest.

I am loving the love for Roger in this game, but when it boils down to it I gotta' go with my favorite. I am very surprised that Moore beat out Dalton and Craig, as this forum seems to typically prefer their grittier Bonds. Pleasantly surprised, although I would put Craig right next to Roger in that #2 spot. Honestly, I like all the Bonds except Lazenby and as long as he's last however the rest shakes out is fine by me.

Very surprised to see Moore stomping over Craig. I guess voting against those others has been easier for some than voting against Moore. Feels like slapping your grandfather, doesn t it?

With Craig who is my favorite gone I will now vote for Moore simply because I personally put Connery fourth... You hear right my personal list

    1. Craig
    2. Dalton
    3. Moore
    4. Connery
    5. Lazenby
    6. Brosnan

And thankfully, only a very small minority who would agree with you.

Moore was the strongest link. The main reason that Bond films have kept on being made. He proved that you could reinterpret the role post Connery, and do it well. We are incredibly lucky that we had two such legends define and then redefine the role. No one has surpassed Sir Rog in the post Connery era. Dalts perhaps came closest to a definitive reinterpretation (IMO), but was not widely liked. DC is working hard at it, but has not, as far as I'm concerned, come close to making a film as entertaining as TSWLM, or even OP.
