Which Bond film do you think DC stood out in the fisticuffs department ?

I think it's CR with the fight on the stairs against Stephen Obamo,it made me realise that he was a serious killer.
Honourable mention to the cricket pavilion fight and also the fight against Mr Slade in QOS.

What do you think overall of Daniel Craig's punching power ?

    Daniel Craig is easily the most physical Bond in the entire series - yes even topping Connery and Lazenby IMO... he has a brutality to his fight scenes, that makes him very convincing that this man could legitimately kill someone with his barehands... something that if your a 00 agent, you should be able to do - as you are the best of the best in the service...

    I loved his quick dispatching of Slate in Quantum Of Solace... in a way, it reminds me of the fight Lazenby had with that big black guy in OHMSS - maybe it was the way they just crashed around the apartment lol.

    The punchup in the lift in QoS, where he is cuffed, is awesome and well choreographed so is the fight in the Haitian hotel.

    I'd go with the lift fight also. The way he quickly takes the guards out is brutal.

    When he punches down Fisher in Casino Royales PTS is überbrutal, to be smashed into a sink by Craig can't be that nice.
    The second is the scene in the elevator, loves how he just loading the gun and goes slowly out of the elevator and jumps over the railing and goes at the other side of it. True Bond doesen't show mercy! Neither to the bad guys, or in the bed ;-)

    No doubt fight scenes are in good hands with Craig as Bond but should be used as they normally would. Unlike the Bourne-esque route we were nearing in Quantum Of Solace. I look forward to what he brings us next.

    i thought the best fight/kill combo was Casino Royale... the brutality of the fight against Fisher in the toilet... and then the sleek one shot to Dryden - end of discussion... i want more stuff like that... that was a "classic Bond" moment

    This is a tough one because there are so many great fight moments in his two Bond films. I'm quite fond of the stairwell fight as well as the scene in the Embassy then he is dragging Mollaka and and fights off the two guards in the hallway.

    Craig did have some great fights in CR, done with menace and they had true supense in them. Loved the stairwell fight, especially with Vesper trying desperatly to get out the way.

    QOS was disappointing in the fight departemnt, nothing really memorable here. Let's hope Bond 23 gives us some more good bashing fights.

    Daniel Craig's films have some good fisticuff action.

    I like Craig's physical work a lot. It's one of the things he'll be remembered for I guess. CR offers the best action in that sense, at least for me, although I'm not so disappointed about his fist action in QOS either. Perhaps it's because in CR I can actually see who punches who that I favour the fighting in that film more.

    Quantum is disappointing in the fact that they dont do more like the Slate fight. Although i love the lift moment for its brutality...its too brief a moment. Same could probably be said for the aforementioned Slate fight.

    Is it wrong that i want to see him kick more ass?

    @Mr_Sterling Of course not, friend. :) Although I am glad they cut the kicking ass down a little. I'd hate to see some "Craig's Bond is a brawler" criticism become too persistent among nay-sayers.

    Indeed Darth. Thats a criticism i just cant buy into right now. It is rather unfair in my opinion.

    I think they all did some pretty fierce beating in their days. Connery's fists certainly never were afraid to get some blood on them. Lazenby constantly battled his way through OHMSS. Moore and Dalton were a little less the type to kick ass I guess, although even they got it on good sometimes. Brosnan had his moments too.

    On this subject, i was watching an early Connery film the other day, Dr No i think, where i noticed right after a fight, i think its the one with Mr Jones the chauffeur, that Connery had blood-stained knuckles. For all the times i've seen this film, its the first time i ever noticed it.

    Seems we both have #1 and #7 in their places! The first one is just pure energy wrapped up in one fight, and the seventh is still good, but in my opinion the weakest of the Craig fights simply because it isn't as brutal and dangerous as the others, but of course, that might have something to do with the surroundings.

    @00Beast, exactly. I just wasn't too crazy about them swinging around on ropes. Speaking of Bond vs. Fisher, did you ever see the extended opening to the film, where there is a chase scene that precedes a longer, more brutal version of the fight?

    Yes! I thought it was absolutely necessary and shouldn't have ever been deleted. I loved the build-up to the fight, and it contained one of my favorite shots in a Bond movie, where Craig simply glares at Fisher when he enters the cricket club lobby. Such a shame it had to be deleted.

    @00Beast, is that when Fisher makes it halfway up the steps, and Bond is just standing there, watching him? If so, I love it. I, too, wish it wasn't deleted, but it makes it much grittier when Bond says "Two." and instantly cuts to the fighting. I wish I could somehow have it both ways, but at least on my Collector's Edition blu-ray, both scenes are there, so I could technically choose how I want to start the movie.

    Both the fights i was thinking of have already been mentioned, Which was Obanno in CR and Slate from QOS. So can't wait for the face off between Bond and Silva! And also from what we know? The Patrice fight could be pretty special too!

    I'm happy to see so many people love the Bond vs. Slate fight as much as I did. It was probably my favorite part of the film initially after walking out of the cinema for the first time. I just surmised that, with so many Bourne comparisons, fans would have hated that scene the most.

    It was good, but I liked the trailer version better, where he just rams his knife into the guy.

    That's his near-finishing move in the film, though. Are you saying you would have just preferred it if Bond only slammed the knife down into his throat, instead of the rest of the preceding fight?

    They could have prolonged th fight in another way, but the end of that version was just so short and brutal and his expression was a true killer.

    I did like the way he looked at Slate with those merciless eyes, too, though.

    @Germanlady, same, or when Slate is bleeding out on the balcony and Bond is just scanning the area, waiting for him to die.
