Now that is interesting, @DarthDimi - I thought Bach's makeup was definitely subtle enough in that film! Wow; we really see that differently. I just looked at some photos online; eyeliner and shadow yes ... but hardly overdone. Super smoky eyes/major eye make up would be Vesper and Severine; and they all look great, I think.

Oh the Blofeld casino dress in DAF; Kerim, you kill me. ;))

    6 - Roger Moore

Poor Roger. His outfits were not always what they could and should have been. LALD, TMWTGG, MR, ... some pretty embarrassing fashion mistakes in these films.

    5 - George Lazenby

He had some special outfits for sure in OHMSS But I don't necessarily agree with everything they gave him to wear. Though he had done some modelling and looked good in that ski-outfit, and though his casino tux is pretty awesome, that Sir Hilly thing he did, though charming, isn't something I'd wear with pleasure.

    4 - Pierce Brosnan

He looked good pretty fine in a costume.

    3 - Timothy Dalton

Despite the t-shirts and pyjamas in LTK, Dalton looked very good in a tux and other costumes. I love his 80s casual outfits in TLD. During that hotel room scene with Puskin, I think he looked his best.

    2 - Sean Connery

I don't mind the swim suits in TB or the Japanese clothing in YOLT. Point is, when Conners wears a tux, he owns the place. The pink tie in DAF may have been a slip-up though. ;-)

    1 - Daniel Craig

Either Craig has an easy body to dress or good dressers or both, but the man dons some impressive outfits in all three of his films, especially in CR and QOS IMO. Whether he wears a tux or just some casual clothing, he always does so in style and I never cease to wish I could wear the exact same outfit and look equally good in it.
  • Are we talking taste in suits or overall costumes here?

    6. Sir Roger Moore
Poor Sir Rog. Someone had to be last, and his safari suits, and lapels than should have wingspans, unfortunately it's him.

    5. Timothy Dalton

Is it just me or does Dalton's suits look rather large for him? I'm going to assume that Dalton was going for a civil servant type of look, hence no expensive suits for him.

    4. George Lazenby
Apart from the frilly dress shirts, and the orange ensemble, not too shabby. He wears a suit well, this 'un.

    3. Daniel Craig
When watching Casino Royale recently, I was struck how badly his Brioni suits fit him. Craig really hits his stride by QoS, but I was less than impressed with his "skinny" suit trousers in Skyfall.

    2. Pierce Brosnan
Say what you will about him, but my God he knows how to wear a suit.

    1. Suave, and achingly cool, thy name is Sean Connery. Nobody else could pull off a blue toweling thingy in GF. His suits will stand the test of time. Perfection.

    Overall -

    1. Sean (even in spite of the horror he was wearing pool side in GF)
    2. Pierce (definitely!)
    3. Daniel (quite nice)
    4. Roger (I love him in a tux, but some other outfits were not great)
    5. Timothy (I feel he was shortchanged)
    6. Lazenby (I think about him so little, I left him off at first)

    1. Connery. Definitely had the best outfits for the given situations he was put in.

    2. Brosnan. Looked great in everything.

    3. Craig. Has had some good outfits and a few off ones.

    4. Moore. I like most of his outfits except for the yellow ski suit and a majority of stuff in Octopussy. (Loved that black outfit during the ending though.)

    5. Dalton. Was never a fan of the baggy clothes he wore in TND or LTK, but as previously mentioned, he can wear a tux well and that awesome black battle outfit in the PTS of TLD.

    6. Lazenby. Just awful taste in clothes.
  • Though I pretty much agree with the majority of lineups presented here, am I the only one who thinks Lazenby totally rocked his baronet kilt costume? Thought he also looked great in the blue hooded outfit he wears to assault Piz Gloria.

Nope haha count me in; I think he pulled off the kilt better than any of the others could have. Matches his face the most. I liked his traditional suit in the beginning scenes too.

No, I think the kilt suited him! It was very refreshing look, indeed.

    2. Pierce Brosnan (looks great in almost everything)
    3. Daniel Craig (not bad at all)
    4. Timothy Dalton (baggy is not a style I like but he was ok in tux)
    5. Roger Moore (awful dress in general)
    6. George Lazenby (loved his tux and his kilt but that's all)

    Luckily you're a friend, otherwise........ ;-)

Blofeld (YOLT) - iconic but hardly menacing
Blofeld (DAF) - pity as I thought Grey's performance was rather good.
Graves - after the great sword fight, he, and the rest of the film to be fair, went to hell in a hand basket

Now, it gets tricky. I don't dislike any of them, per se, but...

Renard - just a lackey in the end, kinda like Bane from TDKR
Koskov - too slimy to be threatening
Whitaker - too avuncular, plus he had limited screentime...

General Anatol Gogol played by Walter Gottel in TSWLM until TLD, he was the Russian spymaster that was the opponent of 007 even if they agreed on certain outcomes. He did want Anya to kill 007 etc.

Dominic Green does not figure for me as he works for Quantum, and he is more scared of them than they of him. Now the boss of Quantum would be another thing.

Yes, I am quite aware of who he is. And he isn't a Bond Villain. In fact, he's quite the opposite.

    From the James Bond Wikia:

"Despite the popular assumption about the James Bond series' Cold War focus, Gogol is never depicted as a true villain. At his most hostile, he is a respectful competitor and more often is an ally against the common foes of peace."
    SaintMark wrote: »

    No he didn't.

"Dominic Green does not figure for me as he works for Quantum, and he is more scared of them than they of him. Now the boss of Quantum would be another thing."

    Dominic Greene is a villain.

Ross Klebb works for SPECTRE, and she is clearly scared of Blofeld (shown in the Kronsteen death scene) yet you included her.

    2. Graves (Could have been awesome if they stuck with just Moon alone instead of the stupid Magic Plastic Surgery.)

    3. Blofeld-DAF (drag...)

    4. Greene. (Too much of a weakling for Craig's Bond.)

    5. Scaramanga. (Just an evil Mr. Roark with a laser canon. Bond's fantasy Island anyone?) :))

That is what you're saying right? Or have I just had a brain haemorrhage and am currently lying on the floor, my oxygen starved brain imagining all manner of preposterous universes - including one in which people prefer the guy with the webbed fingers who sits pressing buttons all the time or the bloke who does comedy karate kicks to two of the series most classic Fleming villains?
