There's 'amazing', and then there's 'better than the awful song they used instead'.

I mean, the guy singing in the duet is completely off-key for most of the song.
  • Her recent attempt at Bond, a rejected song for Quantum of Solace was not particularly good. Would be surprised if they chose Bassey, she had her time. Personally would not be against having a instrumental title track, though probably unlikely.

Totally disagree with this, thought her QoS song embarrassed the lame chosen song.
Was not keen on it myself.

we are one film past why are we still complaining about Quantum of Solace?
  • I think Goldfrapp would do a sterling job. They were rumoured to have been in the running for the Casino Royale theme - shame it didn't come off. Would be great if they got another chance. I believe they have even sighted John Barry as inspiration.

There's simply no reason for Shirley to do another. If she did contribute then I'm sure she would sound great but what is the point beyond pure nostalgia? Let's keep moving forward please.

Bassy should never come back. That, and that a lot of the Bond marketing comes from a title theme by a popular artist, and since no one really knows Bassy...

Don't want bassey back. She done two great themes (GF & DAF) and an average one. Someone new please or another instrumental. Although I won't hold my breath on an instrumental
  • A few years before, when she did the wonderful album "The Performance", I would have say yes, without hesitating. Now, judging by her new album "Hello like before", I think she is still a great singer, but she doesn't have the thrill anymore in her voice that would have fit a Bond Theme, and I'm really sad for it !

I highly doubt we're ever going to get someone who doesn't have a lot of current popularity(Bassey, Portishead). Probably also no one whose best work is decades behind them (Rolling Stones). And I think it's for the best. The point of choosing the artist is to draw people in, particularly younger people. You don't do that by having people in the twilight of their career.

That said I love No Good About Goodbye and if it had been finished in time would have been way better than Another Way to Die.
