Trailers releasing with their own studios films is a thing of that past. Sure you'll still get Marvel and Star Wars trailers being released with Avengers and stuff like that, but it isn't a necessity anymore. Everything is online and the movie studios know that. It's become much harder to predict.

Went to see Avengers age of Ultron! Was great to see the current trailer up there on the big screen and the posters in the foyer and corridors! :-bd

Here it was the trailer for Jurassic World (looking good by the way).
I think it is up to the cinema itself what trailers they attach to which films.

Basically the studios request theatres to place their trailers with specific "targeted opening features" when they're first released. Then usually it's just up to the theatre - hence SPECTRE playing with Avengers in some places.

In some countries, certain cinemas are owned by studios.

So starting from the second videoblog they've been following the whole once-every-month-at-the-end schedule for the video content...so could we be seeing the new trailer at the end of next month after all? (with Tomorrowland or Aloha?)

This Spectre teaster trailer left all Bond fans Shaken and Stirred, we all were expecting action sequence, car chase or helicopter crash. They even didn't show us single glimpse of any of his suit and tux. Strange but still i loved this teaser trailer

to me this was the best teaser trailer since well Casino Royale's teaser (Quantum didn't have one and Skyfall's was good not great)

I also believe that Casino Royale teaser trailer was the best among all four, if i am not wrong that teaser trailer also gave us the glimpse of his tuxedo. But in Spectre there was nothing interesting regarding his formal attire which I was desperately for! But I have read somewhere that second teaser trailer is upcoming in the end May, is that true ?

Sure there was. We did have a glimpse of his tux towards the end of the trailer when Bond was at the SPECTRE meeting.

This would seem likely, as it would follow the recent pattern of Eon releasing official video footage of SPECTRE at the end of every month.

I just realized something. SPECTRE does not take place directly after Skyfall as some have assumed. In the Bond issue of Empire magazine, it talks about a scene in which
there is a notepad on Swann's desk at the Hoffler Klinik with a written date of 25/4/2015.
So this leaves the question as to why MI6 headquarters is still in rubble.

I also think the full Casino Royale Trailer was the best of the 3 Craig films. Campbell perfectly captured what a Bond trailer should be. One can only hope that EON and in particular Mendes stops trying to compete with the last John La Carre film drama which made about $25million in the US, and gives the non Bond fanatics a trailer with a full dose of the action and bond girl scenes that make Bond, BOND and filled the CR trailer to such great effect. Given all that they have already filmed, they certainly do not have to include spoilers to sell this beast. And when I note Bond Girl, I sure don't mean more of boring MP like they were selling in LV.

Long time Bond fans may love the drama and atmosphere of the teaser, but the general audience has mostly zero interest in the drama and dialogue, and the competition for another 1$B success rests on the general audience, not on us Bond fanatics. I know folks on here think Mendes is great given SF's huge success. I think SF's success was built on many factors, including good will over the BO success of the 2 earlier Craig films and their huge DVD/TV, and online sales. Mendes's and Logan's view of an old washed up Bond did not serve Craig or Bond well and it could backfire on SP. Also, Mendes' total screw up over managing Logan and the script process is not a good reflection of his judgment. The leaks clearly showed Babs wasn't thrilled either. EON ain't dumb. Hope Babs calls the shots on the full trailer.

    Regard your spoiler...
I wouldn't take this as meaning anything. They never perpetuate a solid level of continuity in these films. I seem to remember everyone losing it because the Greene Planet in QoS ticket was dated 2008 and everyone freaked out and said CR must have taken place two years after we saw it. That's never the case. They are just always aiming for the film of the moment to be the film of the moment. Making it date specific doesn't add anything, other than perhaps confusion for the general audience. They like to make the Bond's appear if they're happening here and now, not in the past.

In my opinion, Bond movies should be
timeless, no dates mentioned and no real politicians etc which would ground them in a specific time period - sure technology improves and Bond has the most up-to-date etc but that doesn't date them specifically.

Years shown and Margaret Thatcher like jokes should be avoided

Bond movies always had a lose continuity.

We should have trailer #2 at the end of this month, if Eon follows the same timeline as Skyfall and wait two months after the teaser trailer to release the second one.
@marketto007, any news on when we'll be getting it?

Sure there was. We did have a glimpse of his tux towards the end of the trailer when Bond was at the SPECTRE meeting.

Lol I wasn't able to watch even a single bit of his tux due to the dark light

It was not a Tux, it was a black suit.

Seriously, is it really relevant? The tuxedo? In a bleeding teaser? James Bond does not sleep wearing a tuxedo. Should he be ordering a martini too? To make sure it is a James Bond trailer...

Some people like to be baby'd and spoon-fed EVERYTHING to be aher hadble to identify something as "proper" or "legit". One of the best films in the series, heck, one of the best films ever; FRWL neither had Bond in a dinner suit or ordering a Vodka Martini iirc.

Agreed. I'm tired of people demanding the old formula back (aka going back to the Moore/Brosnan era).

Too many people think that Bond should spend the movie in a tuxedo, ordering martinis and introducing himself.

May be the one he Craig wore during DB10 car chase scene in Rome
