"What does it take to be a Bond girl?"
    *close-up of Carey Lowell's assets at 4.09*

    subtle

Seriously, I feel quite bad for Dalton to be honest watching this. His admiration for Cubby is clearly there.

Although he doesn't seem like someone who's particularly comfortable in the spotlight.

Great to see that video with all the Bond alumni circa 1989. Thanks for posting.

It's interesting to hear Lowell say that the audience should expect a new vision for Bond. Quite revealing, indicating they were ready to move forward with this new, harder Bond. Pity it never really panned out, and surprising that they somewhat reverted to type/regressed in 1995.

    I want Timothy Dalton for...

    - Jones Senior in the new Indy movie
    - Bad guy in the 6th and final Die Hard movie (the 3rd Gruber brother to close off the series)
    - A 'meaty' role in the next Chris Nolan movie

Those would be perfect. If Dalton would play Jones Sr., then the Welsh name of Jones would make more sense, in my opinion, than casting any person from the UK (or who has a, Irish and Scottish background such as when Spielberg referred to Connery as a "leprechaun on steroids" during The Last Crusade).

I'd love to see Dalton build on the success of Penny Dreadful and develop into an Ian McKellen or Patrick Stuart type actor.

Some of the locations in LTK are bizarrely dreary. It make the Florida Keys look very boring.

I've never been a fan of seeing Bond in the US though. It never seems to work very well.

Brosnan is the only Bond with multiple outings to never have been in the US. ;)

    Interesting factoid... Sort of.

And probably the only one to go to Cuba - was it twice?

I think Moore went there, I think that the Octopussy PTS was set in Cuba. Could be wrong though.

I think it was set in a made up country that bore a resemblance to some Latin American dictatorship. Not sure it was supposed to be Cuba

I think Fidel Castro was in the audience at that event in the PTS. They were basically taking the piss.

At the time I always assumed it was Argentina, as it was just after
The Falklands ? But the guy eyeing up Bond's side kick, does look
    a " Castro" type.

Here's an interview with Dalton for the premier of PD. Very elegant.

(love his gasp at 1.45. Like an enthusiastic kid)

PENNY DREADFUL is the must see show that currently airs on TV.

First of all the cast is spectacular!
It doesn't stop with Dalton and Eva Green or Josh Hartnett.
Even the supporting characters are cast perfectly.
Rory Kinnear as Dr. Frankenstein's creation is absolutely brilliant.

And don't forget, the show was created by JOHN LOGAN!

Tim looks like my Uncle John with that beard. From now on I shall refer to Tim as Uncle John.

It'd be cool if you could say 'my (fill in relative's title) is James Bond'. David Niven excepted of course.
