By the way, just some comparisons of trailer viewings on YouTube.

After 10 days the counter for the comic-con "Suicide Squad trailer stands at a whopping 39 Million (39.405.279)

The first full trailer of "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" is settling down at 8 Million (8.349.232) viewings. The first full trailer of "The Man From UNCLE" currently has 4 Million viewers (4.289.681)

The highly popular teaser trailer for "SPECTRE" currently stands at 7 Million (7.494.808) viewings.

And so far yesterday's release of "SPECTRE"s full theatrical trailer stands at a massive -almost- 5 Million viewers (4.922.961). Let's see if it nears the number of viewers in 10 days from now ;-). Perhaps it can catch up with some DC Comics trailers ;-).

But obviously, the current record-holder "Star Wars 7" will not be overtaken. The 2nd teaser trailer now has 57 Million viewers (57.068.648 !!)

    Some other nice trailer reviews:

He says it's a "very good hybrid of the typical Bond film with the realistic, gritty one"

  • Yes. We do not want remakes, do we?
This SPECTRE trailer moved me enough to dust off the ol' MI6 username to make a few comments on the trailer before I go to bed. The first of which will be:

1.) OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG :)) The Bond fan in me just burst into tears of joy it's so beautiful!

2.) Throughout the trailer not once did I think, where's Judi Dench? I will miss her greatly, and I am a tad skeptical about a film without her, but I think Skyfall did a well enough job of introducing future familiar faces that it won't hit me too hard that she is truly gone. Not to mention Ralph Fiennes reminds me so much of Bernard Lee, so that helps. Think about it, people; This will be the first Judi Dench-less Bond film in 26 YEARS.

3.) I am looking forward to SPECTRE so, so, much, and the Bond fan in me is so excited for Q- branch's gadget laden Astons to return, but boy do they feel out of place in Craig's era. Casino Royale and QoS were so serious, gritty, and realistic, and now all of a sudden we are being pulled back into Connery's 60's films territory. How are they going to explain Q's line about "not going in for that sort of stuff anymore" in Skyfall? They're making flame-throwing Astons in literally the next movie after SF. We are clearly entering an era of Bond closer to that of 1962- 2002. It's just weird considering how in your face the producers were about the realistic tone of the reboot and CR and QoS when we all thought we'd never see another gadget again. I love all of Craig's films, but boy did they take a strange change in tone since QoS and I am OK with that 100%.

4.) Waltz looks like he will portray Blo, er, Oberhauser spectacularly. I wouldn't read too much into him saying I'm not playing the classic character in the tabloids. Besides, this trailer screams WALTZ IS "BLOFELD!" at the top of its lungs. They gave away a huge spoiler in the Terminator Genisys trailer too. Seems to be the norm nowadays.

5.) OHMSS theme? Awesome usage in the trailer, but it better not be a huge hint that the movie will reuse major plotlines from OHMSS. Reboot Bond already had his Tracy. Her name is Vesper. That's all I'll say on that...

I'm tired. I apologize if some of this is rambling and run on sentences. :-bd

pfff.... all these trailerreviewers haven't got a clue what they're talking about.

@JPinFLA, but everyone did the same thing with CR and most of us love that and would say it's in our top five Bond films. Everyone did the same thing with SF, and most hail that as one of - if not the - best Bond film out there. The point is, we're all massive Bond geeks, that's why we collect here to share our thoughts. It's hard to not get pumped seeing new footage from a new entry in the series. As excited as I am, though, you have to try and keep the hype down so you don't elevate it to some 'best film ever' status before it's even released, like some people have.

yes sir, exactly my point. Eagerly awaiting Nov. 6, here in Florida

Small world. Where you at in Florida?

Southern, down by West Palm Beach.

This is what gets me. If you're an aficionado of a particular franchise or set of films, fine. Either that, or you're a Mark Kermode type and have a very thorough understanding of film history. Most of these videos have literally no insight and just state the blindingly obvious. Not only that, but a lot disregard Bond history or at worst promote a sketchy potted history built on their own memories and opinions. Flashy B-Movies, seriously? Even if you don't like Calvin Dyson, or his opinions, like most of us here the guy has a thorough knowledge of the Bond universe which validates his opinion for me. Most of these other casuals have nothing better to offer than the man on the street.

Trailer looks fantastic. Film looks fantastic. I have absolutely no complaints.

Revelation for me: Ms. Seydoux. She looks quite stunning in the brief clips we see of her, and it's good to see predatory Bond again going after the ladies.

Craig is aging nicely. He's got more lines in his face, but is looking more Bondian for it and classier than ever.

Harris' MP is still a sore spot for me, but I'll live with it.

This could be the most epic Bond since MR. The alleged $300m budget looks to be all up there on the screen.

You know what, it is something I thought after the last few trailers. I was hoping for a few lush greens in there and just a general sense of contrast after the relatively washed out tone of QoS and particularly SF.

I wanted to comment on Lea's accent. I love it and how she seems to be a mixture of French and British. Some of the things she says sound really british especially when she says "always alone" in the train sequence,

I was away from the internet so I have only just got the chance to sit down and watch the latest trailer. Allow me to fangasm on you all from a great height:

This is the most excited I have ever been in my life for a Bond film. Before I saw this trailer I was very apprehensive about the tone/direction they would take it, those worries have well and truly been put to rest. Every aspect of this film looks top notch, I love they are bringing back that epic feel, the comedic nods and yet aren't betraying the Craig era of continuity. Any of the characters from this film would look just as at home in CR or SF. The only other time the Bond films have been able to successfully wed the utterly bonkers with grounded drama is IMO with OHMSS. It's an incredibly difficult thing to get right (hence my worries) and they seem to have nailed it with this film.

My absolute favorite aspect, the thing I am most excited by, is Hinx. We have had some great villains in the Craig era, great Bond girls, Bond allies but to my mind we have yet to see a proper henchman. This guy looks so badass! A henchman in the classic mould that is given the proper treatment (definitely not being played for laughs, phew). His gimmick seems to be that double barreled pistol which is SO COOL! Again so much more realistic that metal teeth or a bowler hat, but still something different. Looks like You'd have to be pretty strong to fire one, it's basically a mini shotgun. Anyway I can't wait to see Bond vs Hinx on a train (HA HA, like snakes on a plane, Hinx on a train!).

My final thought is on duration. I'm guessing, with such a complex story and so many characters and locations, this film has got to break the 150 minutes mark. If not then it will be held as the prime example of narrative economy because I can't see it's even possible to wrap everything up in under 2hrs 30 min. There's just so much going on in the trailer, and there will be lots more surprises waiting for us. THANK YOU EON!! :x

I´m not sure about QoS looking washed out, but it sure offered a strong Bouquet of Colors.

It´s not like Drax and Jaws wore especially colorful clothes, but the film as a whole was full of colorful Frames, as was every Bond film before SF. Mendes cleary doesn´t like that too much, as most of his films show, not just his Bond films. Which is one reason for me not to be overly fond of Mendes´ work.

The only Bond henchmen that doesn't seem like he could fight out of a wet paper bag. Even the boring ones like Stamper were at least physically imposing.

The lack of henchmen in the Craig films is one reason I'm so excited about Hinx.

Elvis was the King of Weirdom. His Job was not to be menacing, but to be strange, and that he did exceptionally well. He is one of the best henchmen in the whole series.

IMO The Craig has had some of the best written and actor female characters. Hasn't really been a focus on henchmen though. Elvis I think was just meant to be a weird factor.. C'mon even Green had to correct Elvis's gun pose.

And he was bald...and gay, as evidenced in the Tosca scene.
