I know this sounds strange being that James Bond is a member of MI6 but what about a movie production set in United Kingdom or at least partly.

This idea came from the Carte Blanche novel.

I see serious potential in the harbour of Rotterdam. It's the second largest harbour in the world and offers an array of scenarios E.G. smuggling operations, stealth infiltrations etcetera.

New Zealand or Siberia would be interesting.

I love 007 movies because I'm actually seeing the world along the way.

Australia would be one that stands out too!

I'd have to say Canada or the USA. Canada has that expansive wilderness, as does the U.S. Which has a more varied climate from moderate, to desert to sub-tropical. Florida's been done already as has California. Perhaps Seattle or somewhere in one of the mid-western states? I'd love to see New York!

Australian outback. Let Bond deal with the elements (venemous reptiles, man eating crocodiles) and a villian who is pure evil.

Or the Falkland Islands in the dead of winter
    Trinidad during a killer hurricane...

    Niagara Falls

I've always said that Niagara Falls and the immediate surrounding areas would be an interesting location for Bond to visit... They have a boat tour, which takes you close to the base of the falls - and i could picture a meeting between contacts on the boat... or possibly, like in this shot - up towards the top, using the falls as an impressive backdrop of rushing water..

the next image, is renovation plans for the Peace Bridge, between the United States and Canada - which is not too far from the falls - and I could picture an action sequence taking place on the bridge too, as it spans a pretty good distance across the river...

adjacent to the falls, is also The Fallsview Casino - and much like it's name, there is a veranda, with another breathtaking view of the falls (could be used as another backdrop for a conversation scene)... here are some shots of the casino (inside and out)

the fountain inside that dome structure..

Hmmm, of the top of my head, I'd suggest more of India, more of Africa (South Africa in particular) and the Norwegian fjords (as suggested by an early screenplay draft for TSWLM).

Funny so many are saying locations in the USA - surely that's one of the countries Bond's visited the most, isn't it...? :-?

South Africa and Australia would be fantastic. Aussie has so many different environments ie beach, desert, cityscapes etc . Down Under would be perfect for Bond. However Mission Imp 2 was shot in Sydney so maybe not there.

Where's @shadowinthesun and his whole Vladivostok, Russia campaign? Haha.

    But seriously,

Russia - SKorea/NKorea - Australia - Middle-of-Nowhere-Mid-USA (like Kentucky, Idaho, Utah ((Dr. Who did it))) - Portugal (why? why not) - Canada.

You two will have to scratch Kentucky from the list because parts of Goldfinger was filmed outside of Fort Knox.

Concur with those that mentioned Australia, Canada and Niagara Falls.

    DOH! Fixed:

    Kentucky,

But Bond in hundreds of miles of open plains and rolling hills would be interesting. Not your usual Bond setting.

I'd love for Bond to visit Ottawa, Canada. It's the capital of Canada, and definitely one of Canada's prettiest cities.

We also have out brand new Convention Centre (Top), Airport (Middle) and War Museum (Bottom), both are Architecturally astounding.

(Sorry if this is a huge photo)

No more United States for me, and I'm an American. I'd rather have Bond going elsewhere. (Although I do like the Peace Bridge idea...)

The Opera House in Sydney is probably a cliche at this point, but Bond hasn't been there yet!!!! I'd say send Bond there next :D

not even the Canadian side of Niagara Falls..... i really don't want Bond back in the states for a while either - but Niagara Falls would be a beautiful locale to use.

He's only been in the states a handful of times. And I'd have him avoid the cliched big cities like NY, Miami, San Francisco, or Los Angeles. Send him to the middle of nowhere. I think IRL he'd visit his cousins more often than he does.

EDIT: But Korea is a big one for me. Have a big plot based around SKorea/NKorea, and maybe get some South Korean director to film (many are VERY good).

For sure. That Peace Bridge was right there, wasn't it? But yes, Niagara Falls would be excellent.

    Belgium and Ireland.

    Bond 24:

    America
    Germany (Cameo)
    England

A scene i like to see is a litle boat chase between the ''villian''and Police in front of the back of the statue of Liberty. (The conclusion of a earlier scene in the movie i like to see who be reference to The Spy Who Loved me.) A helicopter should make it possible to fade out the shot before back to the final location of the movie. It be a litle reference to the end of Dr No also.

To see a simalar Skyfall as in CR (Madagascar) and QOS (Boat chase).

    Bond 25:

    England
    Egypt
    Swtizerland
    Belgium

Australia and New Zealand seem ideal locations plus they're part of the British Commonwealth and Bond is a British spy. It's a strange to think those two countries have never featured in a James Bond film. Perhaps in the future...

I suppose you can cheat and film in one location but pretend it's another. I'm guessing a lot of cities look a bit similar, certainly those in the west.

Part of the new Mission Impossible 4 film was filmed in the Middle East, Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Somewhere like that would be cool to see in a Bond film. But it would have to be a safe middle east country to film in, one with a stable government! There's been a lot of turmoil in that region in recent months.
