I'm not sure if it's clear to posters what they see as the "First Ever Bond Film They Saw". The first one they saw in cinema? Or the first one they saw on TV.

First one they saw. Period. It's not difficult.

The first Bond film they saw, whether it was in the cinema, on television, on vhs, on DVD, on Blu-Ray, on Laserdisc &tc.

Saw my first Bond film on TV in late 1994. It was a double feature of FYEO/TSWLM (incredible experience) and then FRWL the next night. At the time, the films were playing regularly on TV with all the buzz about GE in production.

Excellent. That was the one my family skipped. I guess that my mother had no interest in a non-Connery Bond at that point. I was too young to have much say or the awareness that it had even come out.

I finally showed it to my mom when she was visiting a couple of years back.

My mother thinks exactly like yours: For her, Connery IS the one and only Bond. She liked Brosnan and tolerates Craig. To her, Moore, Dalton and Lazenby do not even exist. In fact, she hates Sir Roger's guts.

This is understandable, as back in the day, when Rog was Bond, his depiction was in stark contrast to what Connery had done. Laz was irrelevant.
The cult of Connery sprang up I think as a visceral response to Rog's less convincing, less Alpha Bond.
Sean I think had been taken for granted, up till the full Rogness manifested.
It was assumed that Sean was Bond. Laz at least did an acceptable Connery stand-in. He brought the physicality and the Bond edge.
Suddenly the Saint was playing Bond. It was all wrong. Bond was no longer threatening, no longer dangerous. Rog brought the charm, but not the violent edge.

If I could go back in time, as Bond producer, I would sit down with Laz, and convince him to return as Bond for LALD and forward. Mend fences. Wouldn't have been difficult. Just a matter of soothing egos and writing a cheque.
Give Bond back his dangerous edge.

Still love TWINE. It was the start of my Bond fascination, and my Bond fascination was the start of my interest in international cinema.

TWINE sure made a big difference for me.

First bond film for me was Thunderball but first in theaters was GoldenEye when I was 4 lol. The line for the movie was massive and everyone was super excited there to see bond back on screen again. :D

Fairly certain my introduction to Bond was the first UK TV showing of Doctor No (1975?). I would've been about 8 or 9 and allowed to stay up as a treat. I remember enjoying it but being a bit disappointed the Crab Key dragon was just an old truck lol.

DAF was first Bond film i saw, and at the cinema, probably early 1972.
I very much enjoyed the film, but was surprised to see that James Bond was a bit older than i had imagined him to be.
The 2 fruits, Wint & Kidd were very amusing.

This list, is it supposed to be for first viewing of a Bond film at a cinema (which it should be), or are some people basing it on their first TV or Video viewing of Bond?

I'm not entirely sure which Bond film I saw first. Possibly THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, which my parents recorded on Beta cassette from a TV airing.

NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN was the first one I saw in a theater.
