Thanks. These movies are great; all recommended for those who haven't seen them. I wanted to stock up on essentials before the year is out.

    The International
    Captain America: Winter Soldier

Already had the DVD's, but I needed them on Blu Ray.
  • I recently managed to finally buy Casino Royale on Blu-ray, the only one I was missing to have the complete Daniel Craig collection (not counting Spectre of course).

Original Blu-rays are extremely hard to find in my country so I'm really happy about it since it's my favorite Bond movie.

Where is that, @Cloud007? Cloud City?
  • @Thunderfinger, Haha. Let's just say some South American countries are less prosperous than others.

@DaltonCraig007, I own 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' on blu-ray, and the video quality in it pops. Beautiful film. 'Shame' probably looks terrific on blu-ray, as well; only caught it once when it was first released on DVD/blu-ray and I really enjoyed it. One of Fassbender's better movies.

Bought " The cabin in the woods" from the Sky store to see the
quality of the download (hd) and a dvd for £3.99, a bargin. :)

@Thunderpussy, have you ever seen 'The Cabin In The Woods'? I think the payoff at the end was what made my first viewing of it so entertaining and surprising (though the huge reveal could've been played out a little differently to stretch out the twist), but upon a re-watch, I wasn't as big of a fan of it.

A few of my mates who've seen it haven't given it great reviews, but
it seems an interesting idea, and at that price, I couldn't pass it up. I
have read a sequel is in the works.

For that price alone, it's more than worth it, and it's certainly the kind of film one could revisit a few times and pick up on new stuff with each subsequent viewing. Is there a sequel in the works? I wonder how that might pan out, given how the film wraps up and whatnot (I won't spoil it, you'll understand once you've seen it!) Be sure to let me know your thoughts on it once you do.

I have read about it so, I've spoilt it for myself already, they might have a prequel
idea rather than a direct follw up ? Although I do like a twist. :)

Bad Timing dir Nicholas Roeg, Network Publishing part of The British Film imprint
The Final Programme dir Robert Fuest, Network Publishing part of The British Film imprint.
Saw BT ages ago, love Theresa Russell, not too sure about Art Garfunkel though. Typical Roeg film with is splintered structure, you have to watch carefully and think about Roeg's films
Don't know much about TFP, with Jon Finch, based on a Michael Moorcock book. Don't think I'd heard of it before seeing it on the Network site.

Oh yes! Love Roeg's movies, they are never straightforward, all require a degree of input from the viewer. Would love to get Eureka, as I've only seen that once a very long time ago. Think the first Roeg I saw was The Man Who Fell To Earth as a teen (big Bowie fan) and on first viewing thought WTF? But, as with most of Roeg's films, multi-viewings really help.
Anyone out there not seen any of Nicholas Roeg's wonderful films should check them out, along with those already mentioned: Performance, Track 29, Insignificance and Castaway.

@Lancaster, ahh, would love to get 'The Man Who Fell To Earth' on Criterion blu-ray. I wish it wasn't out of print and retailing around $150...

@valentinzukovsky, enjoy 'Rogue Nation,' it had excellent picture quality when I watched my blu-ray copy of it the other night.

Lifeforce Double disk special edition on Bluray, this film is bonkers.

Mission Impossible Rogue Nation HD love this film, preffered it to Spectre.

Lifeforce is bloody amazing & I prefer RN to Spectre as well as an action movie.

    New on BR
    Jurrasic World
    Judge Dredd the new version)
    Let her in

Lifeforce is very underated and pretty much ended Tobe Hoopers career sadly, the special edition has both versions of the film. No film matches this for crazy genius... Maybe Zardoz lol

That's one I saw in the theatre.

3 Days To Kill on BD; never saw it but I took a righteous dude's word it was cool.
