DN: Seriously, people, it's the 50th anniversary of this wonderful film.

TB: Because of its sheer epicness.

OHMSS: This film deserves the recognition it hardly got upon its release.

I can agree with this one. People actually like the film now, instead of the near-universal hate it got back in '69.

According to this article, OHMSS got far more respectable reviews back in 1969 than many believe:

Well, even so (and that surprises me, based on the people I've talked to that actually saw the film in '69), there was a period where OHMSS was looked down upon, and now our respective "inner critics" have calmed down because of some of the more recent pieces of garbage in the series (*cough* DAD *cough*).

It might also be fun to see Moonraker on the big screen. It's hardly my first pick, but it would be pretty awesome.

(when I've seen DN in a theatre there are groans and "Whoa!"s of disapproval at "Fetch my shoes" and female friends of mine find Honey to come off as kind of stupid).

Well she did only teach herself from an encyclopedia, and only ever got up to "T" before she met Bond ;)

Yes, she was orphaned and never went to school, raised a wild child on an island with a nanny, and made it thru some brutal times. Not so articulate, then; but strong in her own way.

    TB, YOLT and OHMSS
  • Dr.No(Being the 50th anniversary)
    OHMSS
    TSWLM
  • Dr. No
    FRWL
    CR
  • Fortunate and old enough to rememember the days of Bond double bills at cinemas,so I've seen them all on the big screen. There was a Bond season at the Southbank a few years back and I made a point of going back to see:
    OHMSS
    DR NO
    TSWLM.

If they were to re-release them next year I'd go and see:
    TB
    TLD
    GF.
  • I would go see all of the above choices if possible.

If only 3 were to be picked I'd like YOLT, FYEO & TLD

    Runners up FRWL & OHMSS.

  • Top 3 choices would be:
    FRWL
    TSWLM
    TLD

    Honorable Mentions:
    GF
    OHMSS
    LALD

    1) TLD
    2) LTK
    3) FRWL

    Honorable Mention:
    YOLT

I've allready seen TND on it's original release, hence it's absence.
  • Saw Goldfinger on the big screen a few years back. Epic.

    For me...
    FRWL, OHMSS & FYEO
  • Dr. No (50th and all that)
    Live and Let Die
    The Living Daylights

Yes! Since it will be the 50th they should do something special. How about One classic film from each Bond. Goldfinger, OHMSS, FYEO, LTK, GE, and CR. You could argue with my choices for the classic films because I would just like to see all the Bonds on the big screen in one year.

Put YOLT OHMSS and DAF on the big screen with big sound. I'm first in line. Camped out even.

I think Bond would've expanded her vocabulary.

Ah, but it would be years before he would brush up on a little Danish.

Sadly, no. We're kinda just spinning out wheels.
  • thelordflasheart excellent choices, but I would love a film released every month or week leading up to SKYFALL. They all look damn good in whatever form to be honest :)

It being the 50th anniversary of arguably the post-war world's foremost cinematic entertainment icon, why not all of 'em?

Perhaps most of all, though, DN - for it being fifty years old itself, as Darthster points out above. A nationwide release in the UK and elsewhere would surely be most welcome.

Personally, whether given nationwide general releases or not, I wouldn't mind seeing the likes of MR and Twice on the big screen, most of all because their sheer scale surely ought to be seen on the big screen. That's what they were made for, after all...
