I think it was concluded somewhere that the light blue line shirt on the train was from Orlebar Brown.

Has anyone else bought the Sanders Chukka boot? I bought a pair in snuff suede a couple of weeks ago, amazing shoe and well worth the money.

I re-watched Spectre last night and I have to say that although the casual attire works well, the suits really are quite terrible.
I know that there has been much discussion and I am late to the party but those that urged him to get a proper tailor are spot on.
Paradoxically, M looks superb. Perhaps he should send 007 to his man?

If we're to see Bond wearing great suits again we need a new actor as it's Craig who bizarrely insists on wearing these ridiculously tight suits.

Hiddleston seems to favour this tight fare as well I've noticed.

You can find quotes of Jany Temime harping on about how Craig knows Bond best and has input on what Bond's wardrobe should be, look and fit like.

Even so, Craig had near perfect suits in both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

This Huffington Post article seems to imply it's Temime's choice, but who knows. All the other actors (Bardem, Fiennes, Waltz, Rapace, Whishaw, Kinnear) seemed to have reasonably fitting suits. Only Craig's has been a little restricting to say the least.

Tighter fits are in...if you have the physique for it. DC does. And his suits are fine.

But that's the thing. It's in now, but what about 20 years from now? Will it be a case of the Roger Moore flares? I wonder....

I think any fashion can be looked back at and scrutinized. I sometimes cringe at the bagginess of some of the early Bond suits, even some of Sean's, and worst of all for the uber 70s style of the early Moore era.

I like Dan's suits and prefer the tighter fits as well, and he wears them well. I think the suits were a big improvement from those of SF, which did feel too tight at times. In SP I thought they were consistently perfect, not to tight or too baggy.

Craig's suits in SP were very fine, I thought. Better than his ones in CR (too baggy, sans the dinner suit) and SF (too tight). Craig's best selection of suits has to be QoS. I thought Craig looked stunning in both formal and causal wear.

For me though, Connery has the elegance and timelessness to his suits, and that should be what a costume designer aims for.

The sizing of the SF and SP suits were preposterous. Too bloody tight. Even if Craig's in great shape, it doesn't give hi license to wear ill-fitting suits. It just looks silly.

I'm probably one of the few (or the only one?) that loves the suits in Spectre (and SF).
Slim-fit suits look marvelous if you have the body for it. Craig has the body for it.

No, I'm definitely with you, mate. Perfect fits that were each reminiscent of the color palettes of Connery's old suits.

Of course we apparently don't know what we're talking about, but since most people I see raving about how stylish they look these days are actually eyesores when objectively criticized, I'd say we're more attuned to what looks good. In a world were it's a noble fashion choice to wear a suit and dress shoes without socks, you almost question why we should go on as a human race. Is it time to hit the extinction button?

I agree, the suits look great.

Slim fit and tailored suits are indeed great...but I think Craig's suits in his last 2 films have been rather unflattering in the sense that one; they look a size too small and tight and two; it looks like Bond, a fully grown cultured man doesn't know how to dress himself. The QoS suits were spot on imo.

I agree with this. He did look very good in QoS and the suits were a timeless fit imho.

I was impressed with the color palettes chosen for some of the QoS suits; they weren't like anything I'd seen in Bond, but totally worked. I view Dan as the best dressed Bond since Sean, easily. They both know how to fill out a suit and make whatever they're doing in a scene look like the coolest thing going.

To me, the difference is clear in the two photos below. Note the trouser leg in particular, but even the collar, where SP's look doesn't suit Craig's neck (too constricting even here with the tie pin):

Of course, if you really want to talk timeless style, then we have the gentleman below:

That suit in the second picture that Craig wears is spectacularly beautiful.
    I want it, now!
The one from QOS looks like something from GAP or H&M in comparison.

Totally agree on this comparison. His suits were terrific in QOS but extremely tight in SF, a bit better in SP, but still to tight. I think it is Craig's taste dictating this. He tends to dress like he thinks he is still 18. Bond's look should be timeless and never trendy. Decades later, Sean still looks great in that 3rd pic. Craig's SF suits in particular, and his SP suits aren't going to age well.

I couldn't agree more, Craig's suits are progressively making him look like an extra out of TOWIE.
His casual stuff is OK, although not fabulous and, your point about Sean is spot on -all these years later and he completely looks the business whilst Craig's have already aged badly.
I would have thought that Roger's flares would have taught eon not to follow the fashion of the day!
Style forever, fashion never should be the mantra.

Nice. I like that description in the link:

"worn by James Bond in the now iconic movie 'Skyfall'"

    How true.

I agree with you @PussyNoMore. I think they were trying to give him an Italian mobster look or something. Not my favourite look from him at all.

One of my major wishes for B25 is that Jamy Temime is sacked.

    +1

Lindy knows what it's about. She did a great job for Bale as Wayne on the Nolan Bat films and has just wrapped up Wonder Woman.
