Big news!!!
James Bond Radio has been picked up by iTunes and included in the 'New & Noteworthy' category for the TV/Film section! So, we've decided to celebrate by releasing a new episode every week, for the first month, before switching to our regular schedule of twice monthly.
So, Episode #002 Bond 24 & Beyond is currently available exclusively in iTunes. The store can be a little slow to update so you won't actually see the episode yet, but if you click 'subscribe' you'll automatically start downloading episode 2.
If we get enough subscribers and reviews, we might even make it to the top of the list. So, any support would be really great. The more downloads/subscribers/reviews we get, the bigger our exposure and the bigger the audience we'll get :-)
So, if you go to the following link and click subscribe, episode 2 will be there for you...

Just letting you know episode #3 - Dr. No Reviewed is now available on itunes. We go right back to where it all started on the silver screen, with our review of Dr. No.
We go through the movie scene by scene, discussing everything from Honey Ryder’s bikini, to our list of Dr. No related BondFacts, to just what is Dr. No doing when he peaks underneath Bond’s bedsheets? Today’s episode also features extracts from Chris’ outraged letter to Eon Productions, written after his first viewing of Quantum of Solace.

Look out for episode 4 coming next friday!
Chris and I are having a great time making the podcasts. We're always open to feedback though, so let us know if you have any thoughts about the show!
By the way, if you could leave us a review on the itunes page, it really helps us with ranking high in the podcast listings. We've already made the 'New & Noteworthy' list, we just need as much of a boost as we can get to make use of the extra exposure!
The reason I was searching for such a thread was because I came across a, fairly new, podcast called "Do you expect us to talk?". It's done by a few film and James Bond fans and they have been releasing podcasts on all the Bond movies and are, currently, up to Licence To Kill. They talk about the movies etc. but, also, they have 'casts on the same movie, but done as a commentary while watching the it. Recently, they did a commentary on A View To A Kill and had Mark O'Connell (Catching Bullets) on as a guest. As you all will know, AVTAK is Marks' favourite Bond and it was great to hearing him talking about it. You can find the 'cast here - http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/cinematronix-podcast/do-you-expect-us-to-talk and. if these kinds if things interest you, may be worth a listen.
Further to this, apart from James Bond Radio, are there any other podcasts, relating to 007, that are worth listening to?
*As this is the first post since 2014, and if there is a bit of interest, would it be worth changing the title of this thread to say something along the lines of James Bond Podcasts, making it more a general thread?
The only Bond podcast that comes close to JBR for me is "James Bonding" (from The Nerdist) because although it is way looser / more rambling etc, and essentially just sticks to running through the movies without any of the supplementary stuff, interviews trivia etc Tom and Chris put in, its two hosts the Matts (Gourley and Mira) are frequently absolutely fricking hilarious, and the interplay with their different guests is hugely entertaining.
Thank you for your tip on the "James Bonding" podcast, I shall search it out and give it a listen. I have heard of The Nerdist so have no doubt it will be another good one to listen to. Cheers.
DYEMTT - His name is Bond, Dave Bond. Yes he does go on a lot, but in spite of that he is sometimes amusing. DYEMTT is worth a listen, but I found their opinions on Spectre really odd. All 3 of them absolutely loved it when they first reviewed it, but just 2 months later they all hate it. If 1 of them had a massive change of heart I could understand it. Makes me think the other 2 just repeat what Bond says.
James Bonding is very funny, and their jingle is awesome. I'd skip their review of Goldfinger which is horrible.
There is the Now Playing podcast which has lots of movie reviews, and they have done all the Bonds.
Her Majesty's Secret Podcast has some good episodes, but some of theirs are on trivial aspects for me. Plus they really hate OHMSS.
Bond & Beyond seem to be fairly entertaining.
Bonding Over Bond do a lot of ranking lists if you like that sort of thing, they can be fun.
A few others I haven't tried (yet) -

Male Bonding

Bondcast
My favourite is 'James Bonding' which is absolute heaven. Both hosts are entertaining and comfortable on the mic. Matt Gourley's Ian Fleming impression is brilliant (he also did an entire episode of 'Dead Authors' podcast as Ian Fleming in front of a live audience.) The episodes I can recommend are the Brosnan era ones - because Matt Gourley is a hater and Matt Mira is a Pierce fan so the Tomorrow Never Dies coverage is very entertaining.
'James Bond Radio' is awesome. Both the hosts have such enthusiasm and love for the series it is infectious. Their dedication and excitement with the '30 Days of Spectre' is to be applauded! The latest additions are amazing - Dan Gale's episodes are jaw dropping in their ambition and humour. And Warren Ringham's music coverage is exhaustive and insightful. His episode on the history of The James Bond Theme is what most podcasts should strive for - entertaining and informative. I always look forward to these dropping each week - and while they're on a well deserved break for March I do miss them!
'Bondcast' - Have only just discovered this. Good banter between the hosts. Well structured podcast but takes a long time between episode releases.
'Being James Bond' - the longest running Bond themed podcast I can find. They've been going for over a decade since Casino Royale was in cinemas. Perhaps because of the archiving process it's difficult to find a clear order of the episodes. It has a different angle which I like - focusing on how to live like Bond. Suits, Outdoor Activities, Cars etc. But in spite of this the Bond film reviews are the best episodes - mainly because the two hosts on these specials have good chemistry and interesting views. Particularly their Spectre, Skyfall and Casino Royale revisited reviews.
'Do You Expect Us To Talk' - The longer I listened to this the better it got. The podcast is a little rambling and repetitive. The reviewers are all likeable but while one is a little too opinionated the other two are not strongly enough opinionated. Their feelings vacillating due to how their co-hosts feel about a particular film. As the episodes went on the banter became more comfortable.
Are there any other Bond podcasts I should be listening to? Let me know. Keen to check them out immediately!
Bonding Over Bond - lighthearted, OK
Pod, James Pod - not for me
Bond & Beyond - pretty decent
Male Bonding - pretty decent
Now Playing - good variety of views
Smersh Pod - Only listened to 1 ep so far, they didn't like Dr No much and didn't seem to know much about it, make of that what you will.
A few more I haven't tried yet: Podcasters Royale, Bond_Age, Oddjob Pod, Spectre Etc
I don't mind divergent opinions - but not liking Dr No seems like a Star Wars podcast not liking A New Hope.
I'll start with Bond & Beyond and post my initial impressions.
Standouts were discussions on Quantum of Solace and The Living Daylights - two particular stand outs were an 'Alternative View on Bond' from Penny - who happens to be the wife of one of the presenters and also a discussion on the never made third Dalton film. The presenters read out the out the treatment scene by scene and it really cam to life.
Also a real strength was the order which they reviewed the films they did the first film of each bond actor, then the second, etc...
It means they go DN then OHMSS, LALD, TLD, GE, CR then back around to FRWL etc...I thought this was an effective way to review the series and kept it fresh each week. So they're up to SF on the latest one so I'm keenly awaiting their review of Thunderball next.
Good suggestion @vzok and I'll move on to Male Bonding next with the encouragement from you and @Mendes4Lyfe
And they're doing a 'weekly' podcast!!!! This is brilliant news. They're my favourite Bond podcast ever (along with JBR of course). I can't wait for Matt Gourley's Fleming impression to have an episode and for Matt Mira to force his Brosnan adoration in the face of all the haters. Always entertaining. It's great listening. So excited.
FYI - They've moved from the Nerdist network to Earwolf.
