    Not to stir up a hornets nest but ...... Hiddleston is half Scottish half English ;)

    However that isn't a very special mix, as it's quite common in the U.K. Swiss/Scottish and Irish/German is decidedly more rare. A slight parallel between Fassy and Bond.
    I'm half English half Swiss, was in Special Forces, rank commander, 41 years old, as tall as Craig, brown hair green eyes, athletic and I look good in a tight fit Tom Ford suit.
    Put me on the list.

    Noted, sir ;)

    Tops are only that way because they've trained themselves to believe it.

    The homosensuality is strong in this one. :-\" Anyone fancy a Vodka Martini, shaken, not stirred, with a little pink umbrella? Top drink. Bottoms up.

    I'm a shooter. I give I don't receive. My favourite weapon is a SIG220 assault rifle. I'd be perfect for Bond. :D

    I must apologise for some misinterpretation of my question, I was going
    for a traditional British knob joke. :D and it seems to have been picked
    up wrong.

    I get the concern about his age, but still remember two things.

    1)

    The Craig era was hampered and delayed with constant legal mess. Can we expect to be that unlucky with every actor?

    2)

    I consider 53-55 to be the critically age for a Bond actor. If they cast Fassbender now, they will have 13-15 years to chew out four or five films, far from an imposdible task even with the current rate, that is assuming the worst.

    I think its worth taking that risk. Daniel could have made at least one more as well if he'd wanted to.

    That's a preference of a lot of people. I can't say I'm so inclined, myself.

    Should we return to the topic at hand? Or rename the thread to "which feminine drinks with suggestive names are your favourite"?

    Yes, we have wandered off topic, a little. A bit of relief in the
    Turner v Hiddleston Wars. :)

    Instead of posting my joystick I give you this:

    Aidan Turner would be fine as Bond, he has bite, some people just have never seen him that way, I strongly suggest to watch Being Human (BBC).

    Also don't forget he is only 33 years old and may still look a little young-ish to play Bond.

    I must say these photos/gifs of Turner are not encouraging. He seems a bit petulant in these. Like he's about to cry. If this is his 'tense' look then I fear a return to the era that immediately preceded Craig.

    I really have to get a hold of that Christie adaptation soon.

    Sure he's petulant, he plays a bloody vampire in that show :))

    I posted these to show that he is not just a pretty boy as some here have suggested. He has the darkness that is needed for Bond. In fact I think he would be the darkest Bond yet. And that's something I want. Hiddleston also has this quality.
    I really hope for someone like those two or of course on of them.

    I'm all for a younger Bond, gives us many years of joy... Aidan fits the bill, in case you haven't noticed/read my opinion. ;)

    @BondJasonBond006

    Agree on the darkness that Turner has. There was something menacing about Dalton as well, hence the comparison between the two... Hiddles just looks too much like a cute puppy to me, even though he's a solid actor.

    @bondjames

    Indeed. It's only three episodes basically, like a long film.

    Well then we could be onto something with this chap. I'm not frightened by his look/expression above though. More concerned for him. It's a pity that there isn't more of his work available outside of the BBC productions, so I can properly assess.

    I'm not sold yet ...well far better than Jamie (Tinker)Bell.

    I guess if Bell got it they have to lower the gunbarrel to bottom part of the screen.

    Fassbender has what it takes but he just seems too much for the role.

    I'm waffling back to Hutson ...but even Hutson looks too nice for the role.

    I dunno.
