  @MadeleineSwann Thinking about it, Casino Royale is actually much like a Shakespeare tragedy. Bond loses the girl he loves, and is emasculated, humiliated, and defeated. It's a way we'll never see Bond again. After his experience with Vesper he puts up emotional walls and keeps everyone at arm's length
