Not especially bad, but very very boring.

I suppose it was kind of unremarkable. I just dislike "Another Way to Die" so much that almost anything sounds better.

What I really would have liked is to see Shirley Bassey's "Dangerous Game" in QoS.
  • I found another truly marvellous track, from Pixie Geldof's new album 'I'm Yours'. Curious what you think of it:

    Not only could this be a Bond theme; it was actually written with that intent;

The music is beautiful. Everything I'd want from a Bond song or soundtrack. But, the lyrics were very weak, sorry to say.
  • Lovely song @Thunderfinger :-):

Could this be working as a Bond song too?:

There's something so pedestrian sounding about this song.

It's too much a wann-be Bond rip-off. Together with all the bad mixing and fake instrumentals it sounds really amateurish yes :-). I am sure you love the song I just posted....

    Britney Spears - Criminal (2011)

He is a villain by the devil's law
He is a killer just for fun, fun, fun, fun
That man's a snitch and unpredictable
He's got no conscience, he got none, none, none, none
    Oh-ooooo I know-ooooo, should've let go, but no
'Cause he is a bad boy with a tainted heart
And even I know this ain't smart
But mama I'm in love with a criminal
And this type of love isn't rational, it's physical
Mama please don't cry, I will be alright
All reason aside I just can't deny, love the guy

Of course Mamma don't worrie any more ;)

With a little tinkering this could have worked, Simon LeBon on Italian television.

A 1990s rock type Bond song in the tradition of 'You Know My Name.'

Thunder - In A Broken Dream

The original version was by Rod Stewart.

Lol, did you realize this is the same song I posted above by Simon Lebon?

They're different approaches, also one is live and one a studio track, but

as I said, with a little tinkering this would have been a great Bond tune.

I know this thread has been around for a while now, so I'm hoping someone here will be able to help.

On the subject of Bondian music, I remember seeing a list that was compiled similar to this one (not on here) that had a certain song and artist. I have been looking everywhere for this list, but I cannot find it. I was hoping someone on here could identify the song for me using a description of what I remember from the music video.

The song started slow, with a woman playing on piano in some kind of club or cabaret. I think she was dressed in black, possibly wearing a veil, but I'm not 100% on that. She was a brunette, caucasian, with thin lips. The whole song is rather moody and melodramatic. I seem to remember it being about her thinking about her lover and what he had done, having possibly cheated on her. Then, towards the end of the video, they arrive together at her room. She leaves him for a minute and brings out a gun and contemplates shooting him. I think she points the gun at him and the song ends (but I could be mistaken on that bit as it's been a couple of years since I've had the pleasure of watching it). I remember it being a great song that fit Bond in a darker sense, but have, alas, been unable to find it.

If anyone is able, I would VERY much appreciate the assist, as searching all over the dark corners of the internet for it is absolutely driving me mad.

PS: It was very reminiscent of Strange Birds by Birdy (which I think is also a very Bondian song.

    Cheers!
