Not much, but apparently, Barbara was having a great time last night in London with 20th Century Fox Film Chairman and CEO Stacey Snider and Emma Thompson. ;)

Could this spark discussion that B25 be co-distributed by 20th Century Fox?

Wouldn't read that into it. It was an event hosted by 20th Century Fox to celebrate The Ghetto Film School at BAFTA Piccadilly. Barbara Broccoli is BAFTA's Vice-President for Film, she was there in that capacity.

As I mentioned earlier on this thread, the OMEGA discussion could possible center around Baselworld 2017 and marketing around their new releases, given the company is in trouble lately with profits and revenue slashed in half.

Well, Craig was apparently at a dinner where Omega introduced a new watch (it's not clear if this is the same dinner which was reported on a few weeks back). Garish thing.

    http://blogs.barrons.com/penta/2017/03/22/actor-daniel-craig-omega-unveil-next-james-bonds-watch/

This has nothing to do with B25, so please forgive me for taking the thread off track. Just wanted to clarify that Craig and Omega is an ongoing thing until he decides to leave the role, when he will lose his brand ambassadorship. Please don't assume that his meetings with them have anything to do with B25 unless and until we get confirmation from EON.

PS: I realize there is an OMEGA thread here, so I can appreciate that I perhaps should have posted there.
"Bookies are taking bets on which actor will be the next James Bond, and the second-longest-serving Bond was asked if he would continue to play the famous spy. He demurely refused to comment. Whoever steps into the plum role, my bet is he’ll be wearing a “Big Blue”."

For the record I'm talking BS. I was just curious to see how easy it is to spin the sorts of 'stories' that the so called journalists do. It's the sort of blase 'rumour' one outlet could attach to that photo, given its plausibility, and it soon spreads like wildfire. Anyhow, apologies, just a little experiment. I could also see her in a Bond.
Thank you for confirming my suspicions about you.

Just pointing out how easy is to swallow 'plausible' untruths. It's what I love about this place. Some people will happily swallow 'news' because it comes in the form of a legitimate website, regardless who it was written by, why they wrote it and what their purpose is. The same people simultaneously refuse to accept that a user on here might, heaven forbid, know of actual legitimate news, or rumours. Perhaps it's some sort of twisted jealousy. I've never really got it.

Oh, and regard your suspicions, would those be concerning the several posts I made, simply confirming to all those losing their heads, that B25 was absolutely in development? The same B25 that a couple of weeks later was to confirmed to have P&W on board?

What would a longstanding member have to gain from posting unsubstantiated gossip? I say as much as I can because if it was the other way around I would appreciate it. Obviously you and your cabal of butt hurts don't, which is your prerogative.

    Why you dirty little...

And I was just about to ask where you'd "heard" this from. Now I know. Emma Thompson would be a fantastic addition to the Bond legacy in whatever role. I'm putting her on my unofficial list of actors I'd like to see in a Bond film some day.

I'm just popping into this mad, pretty nasty thread to say that if Fox gets the nod with Bond I will be a VERY happy bunny.

    Right,im off again...ciao.

Careful, @barryt007, you're getting dangerously far away from discussing Daniel Craig's hair and the German premiere of Spectre. Gonna run this thread off rails. Let's keep the Italian to the "Discussion of the Italian Language Thread," shall we?

Why 2019 could be a good year for bond 25. Just a thought! Over the whole 50 years plus there have been two occasions when we have had to wait 4 years for a new bond film. 2006 for Casino Royale and 2012 for Skyfall. Both great films. So maybe another four years wait could give us another special film!

@jamesdut, no love for GE and the six-year hiatus? I enjoy when these films get more time to be worked on, but it sadly isn't indicative of a better quality film - it's possible, but not a guarantee.

Apparently another article has appeared stating that Daniel refused to comment on whether or not he's returning to play Bond.

At the very end of the article.

@RC7, if you don't mind the question, of course, is there any kind of a hint you may be aware of how much of a progression this deal about the distributors has made or where it has reached? In terms of percentage or its literal equivalent? Any checkpoints on that front?

No idea. Only aware of editorial things. I would guess that once it's locked there will be a number of announcements.

'The Kid Stays in the Picture': Theater Review
    hollywoodreporter.com/review/kid-stays-in-the-picture-theater-988377

Rumor has it that the producers (Bond-film doyenne Barbara Broccoli is among them, as well as Evans himself) are looking to transfer to New York as soon as possible. Either way, the production is getting only a limited run at the Royal Court through April 8, which is nearly sold out even before reviews hit.

2022 for an excuse to make Bond's 60th anniversary an event?

No. I'm still optimistic for next year, even though 2019 is seeming more likely.

I think it is asking too much to close a distribution deal, write a script they are happy with and gather the entire cast and crew in time for December. The next Bond will be released in 2019 at the earliest.

From a humorist point of view, the OCD in me wants it coming out in 2020 instead of 2019. :))

That's a valid point. If they are waiting 5 years, Craig will definitely be gone. It makes more sense to start off the next Bond in a new decade, rather than at the tail end of one.

Surely it's preferable to wait even longer to 2022 so we can have another big anniversary special introducing a new Bond in the process.

But Campbell will be too old by then.

Sadly. That's why there can only be one man for the 60th anniversary. A man who has proven once before that he can deliver for a big jubilee when the chips are down and after a long break. Samuel Mendes!

2020? 5 years after Spectre! Are you having a giraffe? Danny boy would be 100% out if that was the case. I think the "old dog" will be back sooner than you think.

Personally,i think it might be 2020 with a new Bond...i dont think we will see DanielBond again.

It doesnt make sense to bring him back, his story arc has closed.
