PussyNoMore brings you great news. The folio society have announced their third Bond special edition and it's DR NO.
It looks fabulous and like FRWL & CR is illustrated by the fabulous Fay Dalton.
PussyNoMore is slightly disappointed because they didn't follow his advice to publish MOONRAKER as their third but nonetheless, he has parted with his hard earned wonga.
Buy now, it looks fabulous.

Same here ,easily...but ive just bought 2 tickets for the 3rd row of the Casino Royale viewing and concert at the Albert hall !!!
I will put this on favourites and keep an eye on it until extra funds come in.

@barryt007, my jealousy is unrivaled. I'd love to see OHMSS in particular being projected as Barry's score was played by a big band. I'm sure I'd tear up many times, simply from the beauty of it all.

It's very frustrating to grow up and have all your heroes being Brits, and you yourself acting more British in personality than American. My homeland gave me Batman, but yours gave me all the rest. So cheers... ;)

You might have been British in a former life ,perchance ? who knows.
Don't care for any of them, really. Bourne's okay, but he's not Holmes, Watson or Bond.
I grew up on Harry Potter a kid, and as I've gotten older a lot of my creative energy has been spent on both Doyle and Fleming's work to an obsessive degree. I also watch more British styled shows than anything else, as I like how your nation doesn't fluff their series with twenty plus episodes of things; Luther being one of my favorites.
There's just something about British heroes that speaks to me. Quiet but firm, a sense of loyalty and duty, a certain propriety and sense of principle. They never feel ostentatious, arrogant or toxically jingoistic like so many American type characters. Because I have more British sensibilities, I'm more drawn to those characters. Your nation also has the great history of castles and lords, and your fellow kingdom mates Ireland and Scotland are ones I adore as well. I wouldn't mind living on that little island at all. Traveling to Ireland a year ago, I felt a greater sense of peacefulness and home than I ever have in the states. There's just something about the UK that has always gripped me.

Without being cocky,when i've been in other countries ,they are amazed by my neutral ,totally,English,North London accent and very cool,composed exterior and pride i have in my country.
This is really turning into a classic collection. The binding and slip case are to the normal high Folio standard but it's really Weldon's phenomenal art that sets them apart.
Not cheap - but excellent value and yes 0BradyM0Bondfanatic7 I think you might get to hold Ms Honeychile Rider in the flesh or as near to it as you'll ever get!
There is definitely a visual depicting the battle with the octopus.
The way that these editions are being advertised, it definitely seems like Folio have intentions to work their way through all the books, which I know many here would love. Being a book lover I don't know if I'd purchase them myself. I'd be so worried about wearing them through the reading that they'd sit on my shelf, getting none of the proper use. Beautiful, though they are.
I normally feel that books are for reading and the more battered they look, the greater my credentials as a reader. But Folios are special. I can see two on my shelves from here (Don Quixote and To Kill A Mockingbird) and yes, they mostly sit there being admired.
PussyNoMore thinks all books are for reading, even his Bentley edition of 'Casino Royale'.
There is something tactile about holding a fabulous book that elevates the experience and, although he's got one, PussyNoMore hates kindles.
Happily legacy print like vinyl is enjoying a revival.
Time to pencil both in on my Christmas list!
Indeed - more good news albeit at a release rate of two a year PussyNoMore may not live to complete the collection!
Doubtless IFP are controlling the launch dates.
From a marketing perspective PussyNoMore can't understand why they aren't being released in chronological order. Surely that strategy would have been more likely to lure people in and ensure loyalty?
Nonetheless and regardless of the choice of the next title (looks like it might be YOLT) PussyNoMore salutes this initiative and gives it his cherished 5 star award.
Dalton finally visualises Bond's face in Dr No - something that has been studiously avoided thus far (see visual of Bond & Quarrel) and she does a great interpretation of Fleming's vision. Perhaps she should be in charge of casting the next screen Bond?
They are up there with JC editions, Hawkey's PAN series, the Easton Press leather bounds and the Bentley edition as must haves.
The Folio Society should do themselves a favour and sell Dalton's prints separately - they would look beautiful in PussyNoMore's study.
PussyNoMore does normally charge for his marketing advice but If The Folio Society would speed up their release schedule, make Moonraker the next launch and sell Dalton's art framed, he will accept 10% of print sales in lieu of his normal fee!
