Again, I did not watch the films to make this list.

I didn t have to google either.
  • Looks like an interesting game. I'll have to look at this a bit closer before I can give an answer, though.

I think I got it. Alphabetical order of the last letter of the films titles (short version as presented in the list)

Thanks, well I was lucky since I just steared at the list and suddenly saw the alphabetical ranking. @Thunderfinger also helped by saying that one actually does not need any information to find the right solution.

I will present a new ranking soon.
  • Congratulations, @GBF. Very well spotted. I definitely would not have gotten that one.

You've forgotten about Thunderball and subsequently replaced it with Dr. No (#14 or #19), but other than that distraction, I'm fairly certain it's about the age of the directors at the time of a premiere.

    @BondAficionado

oh yes you are right in both of your answers. Sorry. I had DN twice. You are right of course that the first should have been TB.

So congratulations and I hand it over to you @BondAficionado

Does anybody see any correlation between age of director and the style of the direction? I think it is interesting that CR had the oldest and QoS the youngest Bond director. I would not have guessed that CR is actually the only Bond film that was directed by a man in his 60s.

Irvin Kershner was 60 when NSNA came out.

Ok fair enough. I forgot to include NSNA. I am sorry for that.

It's in the same vein as Thunderfinger's list. You don't have to see the films. I think someone will spot the pattern in no time.

    DAD
    SF
    CR/SP
    QoS
    DR/DAF
    FRWL/FYEO
    GF/LALD
    TB/TMWTGG/OP
    YOLT/AVTAK
    TSWLM/GE
    OHMSS/TLD
    MR/TND
    LTK
    TWINE

I'm usually great at math but I don't get it

    DAD 2+0+0+2=4

    TWINE 1+9+9+9= 28

    You get the rest.
