    No.
    I second that No

I was joking, but cleese was a great Q, and I'd rather have had him back than have a "young and serious" version.

Anyway, I want SOME gadgets, but nothing over the top. I also want a big battle scene for the bit when MI6 gets blown up, lots of agents fighting terrorists.

Maybe I'm wrong, but was cape town included in casino royale in some way or other?

^ Madagascar and Uganda. Well in the film, anyway. Other places in Africa Bond has visited are Egypt and North Africa (NSNA). I was actually considering setting the PTS of my personal Bond story in Morocco.

Cleese is too goofy for Craig, IMHO.
  • Always thought Rhys Ifans would make a good Q.Desmond Llewelyn was going to play it as a Welshman originally...
  • why dont you pay homage all the men who played James Bond. put all their pictures in an art gallery, and let Daniel Craig walk by them.

Well I love to see lots of action, one or two sex sences, a few funny lines not over the top like RM but a few will do, DC in a tux, it would be nice to see moneypenny back again for the humor between her and bond, I know Q is back so a few gadgets and the last thing would be got to have a gunbarrel/ music composed by David Arnold is always good.

Hope this is not to much to ask!
  • Desmond Llewelyn's 'Q' is certainly a Welshman, although not played with a Welsh accent as perhaps originally mulled over. Llewelyn had mapped out Q's life in his own mind - Q (or Boothroyd) had played rugby for Newport as a young man, etc.

As this was just Llewelyn's version, and as this biographical information never appeared on screen, it is not part of the official canon. A shame that. With a new Q (presumably Boothroyd), I'd love a brief Skyfall reference to his Welsh roots in tribute to Desmond.

I want to see some parallel's to John Gardner's last book, Cold Fall, in which James Bond is on "a four-year search for terrorists". (Source: Commander Bond site). There's a "straightforward act of terrorism against a British-owned symbol" made by a "fanatical society more deadly than any terrorist army". In Cold Fall, we also see M's retirement and by the end of the book, Bond meets his new superior.

Interesting. There has been speculation before that Bond is returning after being gone, and this time away may be a nice theory as to why Bond is leaving. Dench may well be out and Fiennes in too, so Bond saying bye to old M and hello to the new is a good theory that fits with Cold Fall too.

Don't think I'll like much of what I'll see in SkyFall, based on what I've heard about the film so far. So what I'd at least like to hear in SkyFall is Thomas Newman putting Bond scores back on their rightful pedestal.

I'm really not sure what I want from Skyfall. Everything I have seen and heard thus far seems far from what we have been given in CR and QoS. Maybe the first trailer (hopefully by mid-summer) will change my view on that, but now, I'm expecting something totally different. Can't wait to find out.

I would like to see Daniel Craig being a bit more chilled and turning on the charm bringing back a more Connery Bond feel to the movie. I love DC performance in CR and QoS, he played the roll perfect being a young inexperience Bond learning its trade and getting himself caught up with revenge but that's enough of that, they need to bring back the BOnd James Bond that we all love.

I would also like to see the gun barrel at the start of the movie

Yeah, the return of a 'traditional' gunbarrel is almost a must for me.

What do people think of having 'Albert R Broccolli and Harry Saltzman present' over the gunbarrel dots as a nod to DN? Obviously would be reworded to say 'Albert R Broccolis Eon Productions presents' but a nice enough tribute to the company Cubby and Harry set up all those years ago.
Cant say I've ever been wild about it in DN or OHMSS but I wouldnt mind.

Not sure about those strange electronic beeps before the Bond theme crashes in though.

This would be a cool idea. It was never that great as you say, but would be a nice nod to the original

I'd be fine with that. Also, if the white dots that move from left to right are actually multicoloured like at the start of the Dr. No title sequence. Maybe.

A traditional gunbarrel in the style of Dr.No at the beginning of the movie.
    A Bond with more charme.
A completely different Q. (Nobody can replace our Desmond.)
Less huge action scenes: but simple, effective and smart moments of action: Like Bond glidingdown the elevator-stairs (how do you call it?).
More Bondesque moments in the score.
No rediculous plot or moments in the movie.
A down-to-earth spy-story, with some classic elements from the very early Bonds.

Escalator. :) Agree with everything here, and it seems we might get all this in SF. [-O<

I am from South Africa and a big James Bond fan. Pierce is the man. I would like the Bond movie to fell like a Bond movie in the cinema and not just another action movie like the last one. And the gun barrel and Bond theme will do it for me.

I'd personally want that the Gunbarrel starts at the begin of the movie.
If the movie will completely suck, idgad, but That is what will make of Skyfall the REAL Bond movie. Not at the Middle, neither at the End of the film.

It won't suck- I have foreseen it. ;)
  • I'd like to see a nastier villain this time around, to show a progression of ruthlessness through the rebooted series. Greene was (in my opinion) a nastier psycho than Le Chiffre was, for instance.

I'd like to see the franchise do the same thing with M that it did when Judi Dench was brought in - if Dench is leaving after Skyfall. That is, do something unexpected with the character. Sign up Lenny Henry to do it, as something outside his comedic range, for instance.

I'd like to see Sean Connery in Skyfall. Even if it's just a one-line walk-on, with or without Craig in the scene.

If only just to hear Sean say 'Shkyfall'.

EDIT: NO previous Bond cameos, please. All I want to see is a portrait of Fleming on the wall in M's office.

No, I think any past Bonds should be omitted from this upcoming release, unless of course there's some kind of homage and we see the previous five in some sort of get together for nostalgia purposes and even then that idea seems doomed to failure
