Having not seen hardly any Bond films in the last two years, I’m pretty excited to see how my list shakes out. My tastes as a Bond fan, and more importantly as a cinephile, have changed. I’m still fairly confident my #1 will remain, as well as the general sweep of the top 10, but everything else is up in the air.

Pretty good ranking. Main gripes are FYEO, TB, and SF are too low and OP and TMWTGG are too high for me. But very good. I like your top 5 choices

Is everyone ignoring NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN? I know it's not official EON but still be interested to see where fans class it?

I'll be sure to rank it the next time I do this. I suspect I'll put it somewhere middle of the pack, close to where I have some of the other 80's efforts.

I personally rank it above SP and below all the other EON films. It's got a lot of good stuff and Connery is great but it just lacks that spark.

If I included NSNA it would probably only make it above DAD on my list. Has some good stuff but collectively quite meh. CR ‘54 and CR ‘67 would be right near the bottom as well. I almost always just rank the EON films, especially because I never revisit the non-EON ones.

I find it great fun, and keep in tied with OCTOPUSSY, lately around number 9 or 10.

The last two viewings cemented it as bottom 2-3 for me, if I were to rank NSNA with the EON pictures. Then again, I said the same thing about QOS and that one will be jumping up almost certainly after this past week's revelatory rewatch.

I like it. It's not near my top 10 but I definitely prefer it over some of the weaker EON efforts like DAD, QOS or SP.

For me it's more watchable than any of Brossa efforts which are at the bottom of my list, but it hovers around there and don't ever see it going much higher. I have to be in the right mood to watch it, mainly for Connery and most of the cast ( bar Basinger who is terrible!)

That’s still a pretty similar list to mine. AVTAK got a high spot from me because of just how unhinged and scary Zorin could be.

dark and serious do not always go hand in hand...

OHMSS is not particular dark, Octopussy is quite dark in places but also has slapstick.

I have TND second to last. Everything after the garage scene is pretty bad, IMHO.

SP over GE is hard to grasp (actually, for me, over any other Bond film), as we are so close on most else.

True. I just switched them. I tend to rank their films scores quite low, and for different reasons. Kind of sad to see GE remain fairly low in my rankings.
