Exactly. Where did that come from?
Have you cut your face off and sent it to Barbara in the post yet?
Mocking in jest. Not attacking. As they say, if you can’t stand the heat... stop talking bollocks.
Perhaps he’s referring to the Purvis and Wade old script and when Hodge’s idea came aboard, there was no more Hinx…
I think exactly the same.
Interesting. I'm quite surprised he was ever considered to return. I didn't find his character particularly memorable, and he wasn't integral to the plot. If they wanted to remind us of SP (even briefly), then they should have planned to finish off the Seydoux/Waltz storylines imho.
Maybe this way?:
That black long hair on the left look a bit... strange for Bond.
No trolling intended, just trying to humour some people.
Well, they wrote a Bond 25 script, which got shelved after Boyle and Hodge were hired.
I see three options:_
1. Polish the P&W script and find a director, either Demange, Forster, or Mackenzie or a journeyman like Noyce or Donaldson, who will be shooting it.
2. Try to get Boyle back, and accept his casting choice for the villain.
3. Indeed delay the movie to 2020 and take time to find a new director.
Every Craig movie has been awaited like a pivotal point for the future of the franchise.
If things go wrong with 25, they can always reboot.
I feel once the 'first woman director' card has been played, it's difficult to put it back in the pack. Eon may have to hire her purely for damage control purposes at this stage....
I haven't seen anything she's done. In fact, aside from a few episodes here and there, she's only handled one mini-series that got middling reviews for the BBC/Netflix. I'd be concerned, especially since there are numerous other capable directors available:
Susanna White
Susanna Bier
Lynne Ramsay
Andrea Arnold
Amma Asante
Kimberly Pierce
Jennifer Kent
Reed Morano
All of the above have actually directed a feature film, unlike SJ Clarkson....
Martin Campbell had only directed a few films before he got the GE job. And I am pretty sure that EON didn't hire him based on those train wrecks. EON probably hired Campbell based on his previous TV directing gigs.
Agreed. On time too. I think they should prioritize someone who is workmanlike but who also has a bit of flair, because presumably the Hodge script has some intricacies and peculiarities which will require a deft touch - especially if it was initially action light. Looking at the names that have been mentioned, this is indeed what they are doing. I have a feeling the directorial stamp will be especially important in this film, as will getting the absolute best out of all pivotal actors.
Bautista is facing the reality that his big role as Drax in GotG is likely over soon, so he needs to keep himself in the headlines to try to get roles.
