When I found out that Gregg Wilson was doing location scouting in Jamaica, I was privy to some pics from Goldeneye.

As you can imagine I flipped, but was told that this was where Gregg was staying, and as far as my friend knew, it would not be used as a location (and I don't know in what capacity the island is being used; I only have my own ideas).

That henchman rumor on IMDb hasn't been talked about in the press I'm surprised since all the casting news you think a tabloid would have picked up on it @jake24

There's a henchman rumor now? I don't come here often enough. How substantiated is it @007Blofeld?

    Not very @Ludovico

How disappointing. I'd like a good henchman.

Shame...it would have been a nice touch,if they didn't make it obvious that it was Goldeneye to the audience.

possibly unpopular opinion - with the Norway lake scene confirmed as part of the PTS, it being s flashback to a younger Madeleine makes a ton of sense

Again, really love how they're going almost all in with what SP set up instead of jettisoning it.

No way they can pass the chance to feature a modernized version of „Jump Up“ :-) That would be really, really cool
I would bloody love that! :)

Is that actually confirmed as the PTS ?

Great to see Baz give us Bond fans a nice little nugget. I suspect he knows that numerous fans refresh his page on Thursday nights waiting for scoops.

Interesting updates all around. So, what can we draw from his updates?

    @antovolk
I think you may be jumping to conclusions. Whilst there is some circumstantial evidence suggesting that the scene may be a flashback. We also know that Maya Khosrowshahi is playing the girl in question. She is of Iranian heritage and looks nothing like Seydoux. Plus there are modern cars on set. I'm fairly certain this is not a flashback

Also, it seems that they will indeed be filming (at least some) of the Norway scenes prior principal photography starting next month. Baz suggests this is because they don't want the lake to thaw. I suspect they'll return to Norway later in the year to finish filming there.

Also, it seems that at least some of Danny Boyle's ideas have been kept. Perhaps the whole
    child
story idea came from Boyle and is part of the "movie gold" he suggested.

I always thought it be cool if Bond retired and went to live in Goldeneye. Though, if they do return to Jamaica, I'd love a great set-piece there. Perhaps something on water?

It could also explain the origins of the character that Lupita Nyong'o was meant to be playing.

I really don't understand how the Norway scene could be
a flashback scene if there was a Tesla being sprayed with snow on set.

    I still believe that
The girl is related to the main villain, the PTS will be Bond-less, and that the events of the frozen lake scene will act as a precurser to the villain's scheme.

It would be great if BOND 25 concludes in Jamaica and also at the Goldeneye house. Tremendous tribute to Ian Fleming.

    Bingo.
We'll have a cold open without Bond and somehow the story will see him interact with this girl who will eventually be instrumental to the plot. The girl must have inadvertently come across intel about something. I guess the villain's scheme is to "kill the child". Which is kinda evil and seems like something creepy Rami Malek would do.

This idea basically confirm that Bond 25 is going in the Logan route as there is no way they are introducing a kid and giving her the entire PTS only for her to disappear from the rest of the film and not be a major character

Fair points about Madeleine and Lupita in your earlier post. I also reckon that production is heading to Norway this month to shoot winter scenes, but they'll likely return later in production. I still refuse to believe the frozen lake cottage is the only Norwegian location.

So Norway is the PTS. I'm willing to bet no opening gunbarrel, and a chance we may not see bond in the pts. The pts may be the flashback.

Why do you think there will be no gunbarrel at the start?

There is hardly any more "Bondian" location than Jamaica, absolutely love it.

Also this. But not dubstep, maybe some more subtle homage.

    What if
the pts is actually a flash forward, perhaps ending in a bit of a cliffhanger, then after the ts we see some of the events leading up to that point (and the aftermath of course)

Do members really think we wont see Bond in the PTS when it's Daniel's last film ?
Of course he will be in it,imo of course.

I notice that almost every time I hear or read the words "of course", I somehow insert "Mr. White" right after. It's odd. (but when I'm stared at... -.-')

Other then that I'm doing just fine and have to say I'm really excited for B25. We seem to have a pretty firm confirmation on Jamaica, Norway confirmed, but I am not really sure about Italy. What do we know about Italy in regards to B25 at this point?

Edit: only after I posted I saw your comment @Lizo ;)

That would be really cool. This is why David Arnold would be on my list of composers. You'd only get an easter egg like that if he was the composer.

I mean You Only Live Twice had a pre-titles sequence set in Japan, Norway, and outer-freakin'-space, so anything's possible before the song. ;)

Curious. EON keeping Bad Robot-like tightness around production if they've got the wires of major trades and journos crossed. Understandable given what happened with SP.

Ooh, quite a bit to react to there.

"Prologue action sequence," specifically. So we know the film opens with the typical bang.

And a production crew of 500. That sounds like a full-blown Bond PTS. Can't imagine Craig's not part of it.

I'm realizing now (excitedly) this is the point where I need to stop reading every new article. We're getting too close to things I don't want to know.

Never said it would be easy. ;)

I wonder what type of action sequence we're looking at. With the historical significance of the site, I'd assume they're fairly limited in what they're allowed to do.

The architecture and terrain are certainly interesting. Perhaps another pulse-pounding footchase that takes advantage of obstacle and misdirection, a la Casino Royale...

@PanchitoPistoles You have an answer! Italy is definitely confirmed.

Maybe Baz got it wrong about the PTS being in Norway. Or maybe the movie will open with a short flashback in Norway (with the same location reprised during the movie, given modern cars spotted on set) just before kicking with the classic PTS action in Matera.

I think this is most likely the case.
