TB vs TLD. Tough one. My favorite 1960s Bond film vs. my favorite post-1960s Bond film. The film with my favorite bad Bond girl(Volpe) vs. the film with my favorite good Bond girl(Kara). Ultimately I'm letting the classic original Bond era style influence my final decision here making this one of the very rare occurrences where I wouldn't vote in favor of TLD.

    My vote goes to TB

    and

FYEO vs LTK. Not as tough. In my dream world, a Bond film would exist with the Bond(Dalton) and villain(Sanchez) of LTK blended with the locations and leading lady(Bouquet's Melina) of FYEO. Since that film doesn't exist in reality I'm going with the film with the Bond actor who I think is better suited to the darker, more serious style of Bond films.

    My vote goes to LTK

I'd choose TLD over Thunderball. They're both excellent films though.

In contrast, FYEO and LTK are bottom 5 entries, possibly bottom 3, but I'll give it to FYEO because of Moore and the locations.

Honestly, Thunderball is fairly overrated. It's pretty good, but there's no doubt in my mind TLD is better. It has a better balance of action, spectacle, intrigue and character, and it doesn't try to be so OTT that it outruns it's ambition, which is exactly what happened with Young.

I really like FYEO, but I think Glen's more refined by LTK (to his own admission), and the story's more focused, and the action is better implemented to the story, and it also has Timothy Dalton at his best. And sorry, but Dalton is better than Moore at his best.

TB Close as TLD just sits below TB

LTK I have my issues with this but I've never been a massive fan of FYEO

TB. Really close. In many respects TLD is a better movie (and I actually rank it higher), but TB iconic status gets my vote (sorry Ms. d’Ado – I still love you!).

FYEO. Not as close. I’ve grown to like LTK more over the years, but FYEO is closer to “classic” Bond.

Same. TB is actually on my top 3.

    FYEO over LTK just barely.

This week is actually really close

I might have to give it slightly to TLD and the Eyes but if you asked me a different week my answer might change.

GF over DN (Both good, but GF is just one of the very best)

OP over LALD (I do not like either, but as bad as OP is, it is not as dull as LALD)
