To be honest I'm quite tired of the policing of negativity on this forum. We are allowed to be disappointed for certain things. Besides, for every negative comment I see 12 complaining about it.
Something I do not quite understand. The cast is amazing, including a very welcome return of Jeffrey Wright. Based on some spoilered clothing items it seems this time they include the correct kind of references and filming will be done on Jamaica - a very special place for Bond by any means plus some other exciting locations. I can‘t read anything negative into this - even if I would try to do so. I don‘t get it unless somebody just does not like Craig or his Bond era in general.

I’d love to see a lot of DN inspiration, but a straight-up remake would be a disappointing lack of originality.

    They won't do that.

We try not to show any bias when it comes to 'policing' the forum. If we clamp down on negativity, it's usually because certain members may persist in making the same negative points over and over. There comes a point where we ask them to let it be and move on.

Any new movie will attract negative feedback as well as positive, but usually the negative vibe seems louder and more persistent.

I don't know what Grace Jones is planning, but could the rumours be true, then?

It's definitely out of left field, I can only imagine it will be a cameo. I just pray it doesn't detract from the movie and this isn't an indication of a lighter toned movie

Actually I believe Grace Jones is working with Trevor Horn again so whatever this is about it’s Likely that and not bond related though I wish Horn would produce yes again as Fly From Here was the best album of 2011 and his own band the producers debut album in 2012 was also album of the year for me...

But with Chris Squire Dead Horn though he likes Steve Alan and Geoff isn’t interested in doing it so what ever let him do his what I call big band era reworks with grace jones and others now (do not like Trevor Horn reimagine the 80’s )

Long story short I bet it has nothing to do with Bond

Nothing to do with a cameo.

She has been working on a new album since a few years now.

Wait guys! Maybe Mayday jumped off the rig right before it blew and has been alive this whole time and has currently been working for Rami's character!

Helluva coincidence if it isn't Bond related. If it is the rumoured cameo, should those that are 100% certain it isn't expect some kind of forfeit?

What would you call a light movie in the Craig Era ?

I’ve been thinking about the cast. With seven good guys confirmed to return, it’s safe to say all or nearly all new cast members will be baddies. Also, with 13 confirmed cast members, some of them will only appear in a single scene. It’s entirely possible that one of the 2 new female cast members will have a role as small as Estrella was in the PTS of Spectre.

None of them will be as small as Estrella's role. Look at Casino Royale and there are more than 13 roles of significance. Go back in time and check out something like Licence To Kill. You can take on a large cast without cutting them down to one line and 2 minutes on screen.

Potentially they'll all be villainous or otherwise grey shaded. But not necessarily. As above with regards to Casino Royale and LTK, Consider the relocated MI6 scenes in The World Is Not Enough. I'm fairly sure they had Bond, M, Moneypenny, Tanner, Robinson , Q, "R" and Doctor Molly Warmflash in them. Half of them bit part players with small roles, but not necessarily insignificantly so like Estrella. It'll be interesting to see how everything and indeed everyone comes together.

I think SF and SP are much lighter than CR and QoS. Shoot me

List 13 roles in CR that are all bigger than Estrella’s role in SP!

Léa Seydoux : “I do not have the right to speak about it, I read a scene of the film, the script is in perpetual change”

@tqb Once again, the script will be the weakest point of the movie. What’s so difficult about NOT announcing the release date of the next Bond film before they have a more or less finished script?

Mollaka? Valenka?? You must be joking! Those were TINY roles, certainly not bigger than Estrella’s! You just proved my point: some of the 13 actors announced for Cary Fukunaga’s Untitled Event Film will be in and out of the movie in 1-2 minutes.

Possible there wil people cast who at the end mabey more intresting. Like Blond girl in CR (Before Skyfall some thinking she mabey be Moneypenny). The Austria girl, Mathis girlfriend, Canada agent (Castle actres) in QOS.

And Lashana Lynch and directer face, kind of confirm there wil be a lot of extra's ''cameos from locals''. Directer if fan of AVTAK, who include bonus chacter: Jenny Flex.

Valenka had 15 mins in the movie- swimming, scenes, in casino, pouring poison in bond's drink, Getting torture from black guy and Estrella had 5 mins in SP from Day of the dead till hotel room. Hope that helps.

@PanchitoPistoles how can you make a bold statement like that without having read the final script and before the movie even comes out?! Enough of the BS already!! Bond 25 will be terrific I believe!!

Stephanie Sigman, who plays Estrella, is a strong actress. She was the lead in the original version of Miss Bala. However, her casting in Spectre had more to do with the production accommodating requests by the Mexican government, by casting and hiring locals, to get a tax rebate there. She has more screen time, but her part is about as developed as the unnamed Turkish woman from Skyfall.

None of the big hires appear to be related to tax purposes, so it's safe to say that they will contribute more to the plot and action of the film.

I’m going to disagree. There is no way either Ana or Lashana are having walk on roles. Here’s how I see it:
    • Rami Malek: He will have the screen time befitting a Bond villain. I suspect we shall see him as much as Javier Bardem in Skyfall.
    • Lashana Lynch: She’ll be the co-lead alongside Craig. She’s have the second most amount of screentime after Craig.
    • Ana De Armas: this is tricky. I suspect she will have more to do than most secondary Bond girls. It really depends on whether she’s a villain or not. A bit of a question mark.
    • David Dencik: A tiny role. He’s confirmed as being the kidnapped scientist, so he’s solely here to engineer the plot.
    • Dali Benssalah: The henchman. He may remain by Malick’s side throughout or have one big sequence like Sciarra or Patrice.
    • Lea Seydoux: she was the lead Bond girl last time. You don’t get a reprieve for the second film unless it’s a minor supporting role.
    • Billy Magnussen and Jeffrey Wright: Fairly certain Wright will only be around for the opening before getting killed off. Magnussen is probably a villain. He’ll appear more than Wright but not much more.
    • Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear: Considering the much larger supporting cast I have grouped this lot together. I feel fairly certain in saying that they will all have much smaller roles and there won’t be an MI6-subplot. The film will focus on Bond. If anything, Harris and Whishaw will have more to do - but they all have less to do than in SF or SP.
