GG - seeing you mount your cases like framed pictures, have you seen the art cards promoted here:

No idea what size they are although £3.25GBP is probably worth a punt if you really like the art covers.

How can I get these? Via Amazon?

  • Does any one on here know where to find the new steelbooks in London? Bond In Motion perhaps?

I think they are a Zavvi exclusive in the uk so I doubt any physical shop will have them.

Picked up the YOLT steelbook since it's gorgeous looking and was on sale for only $9.99, so that leaves me at owning three of the nine, and I'm looking to pick up a fourth, either CR or TB.

    Has anyone received these yet?

  • I personally now looking forward to the steelbook release of "SPECTRE". I then will sleep together with my Daniel Craig steelbook quadrilogy between my satin white sheets :x :-*

I can only wish luck to the man in your life who has to compete with the DC steelbook collection for your affection!

I hope they go the SF route and give us an IMAX poster steelbook, which would be Craig's face in the mask during the PTS this time around. I'll pick it up ASAP if that's the case.

I hope they release the other films on Steelbook! I don't mind if its title sequence art or postar art but I think I would have to find a special place for the Spectre steelbook if its a naked Daniel Craig being smothered by an oily octopuss. That would be going between my sheets too.

I personally hope for a steelbook with the yellow/orange/brown main title design on front and cover. I liked that rather scary face/skull of Blofeld/Oberhauser with those pinching eyes, leading into tentacles.

If that is done, the Craig steelbooks really look like a quadrilogy.

As I have two CR, two QOS and two SF steelbooks I hope for two different SP steelbooks as well, maybe one of them has the skull mask cover, that'll be fantastic.
Other movies receive different Steelbooks too, Star Trek or Furious 7 for example.

Not with the main titles design on front and cover. Though I do think steelbook art is subject to change at the moment. Still, this is beautiful black, with one of the best teaser posters of the Bond franchise featured as cover and front. And on my bookshelf it perfectly fits the other three recently released steelbooks from the Craig-era (007-logo vertically on top, below the title design).

I would still prefer the shirtless Daniel Craig fighting off an oily octopus for the front cover, it would not only match the other title sequence designs but also have a special place in my heart. ;)

Please note, on other BluRay forums and websites it was mentioned that the cover art for the "SPECTRE"-steelbook is subject to change. So it's not the final steelbook art.

I sure hope this is not the final artwork @Gustav_Graves

It just looks like a coffin with a bullet hole.

They have to do some art with the PTS Day Of The Dead images, they HAVE TO!

I just got the IMAX poster off ebay as my theater had run out of them! I'd cast my vote for that to be the steelbook cover, too! It's a great image and the poster has a nice sheen to certain details. A steelbook could really make the mask and eyes pop!

I doubt that is the final SP cover. It would be pretty disappointing if it was. I'm hoping that we continue getting the title sequence themed steelbooks. Those are great.

I just put my poster in a frame today. I think it would be a nice steelbook cover too. Maybe they will do a specific IMAX cover steelbook like SF got.

Surely we want the rest of the films to be released in a similar fashion.
    ie. title sequence images.
  • I'm not very....fond of the IMAX-poster on the cover of the "SPECTRE" steelbook. I hope it gets the main title design treatment, which makes it fit more with the other three Craig-steelbooks.

There have been so many re-releases for these films, it's near impossible to keep up-to-date AND have a totally matching collection of the movies on blu-ray, unless you get all of the older releases or buy the new box set every time they release a new one.

@Seven_Point_Six_Five, that looks brilliant! Can't wait to get mine framed, too!
  • I can't wait for the Blu-Ray release :-(. It's still a big fat two months until the release.

    Now that's a great steelbook release ;-).

By the way, didn't some of you notice how 'franchise anniversaries' have become a great new marketing tool ;-)? And obviously one franchise only could kick this off ;-).

Well, apart from "Taken 3", "Spy" (no steelbook available yet) and "The Gunman", my "2015 Year Of The Spy steelbook collection" is getting more complete now :-).

Down below the pictures from my latest purchases: "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.", "Mission: Impossible 5 - Rogue Nation" and "Kingsman: The Secret Service":

And as the "SPECTRE" steelbook is coming out soon, I think it's nice to look back on the two previously released "Skyfall" steelbooks. Despite the fact that the 2nd "Skyfall" steelbook release with Kleinman's main titles on top is still beautiful, I can't help to think that the exclusive 1st silver 2-disc "Skyfall" steelbook is my favorite. The silver IMAX-poster on front oozes style and simplicity (which Disney/Marvel steelbooks don't have). The discs are in white, unique colors, and also the inside with the character posters is nicely done:

My favorite non-Bond steelbook must be "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.". I just love the bright yellow background, which gives a nice 60-ies feel to it. Combined with the shiny printed characters it looks both simple and stylish.

The "Mission: Impossible 5" steelbook is lovely too, though I am a bit fed up with the embossed title fonts. Especially the embossed sides.
