    JAMES BOND 007: SOLSTICE announced!

Do you chaps remember that there was a rumour about TellTale doing a 007 Solstice title not too long ago? Well, that was proven false, but the title's existence surely is not.

    $

In this plot, 007 accepts a mysterious, unofficial mission in Paris. He's to pursue a dangerous Russian, and do…what is necessary. But is Bond the hunter, or the hunted?

Brought to us by Ibrahim Moustafa, who does hell of a job on James Bond artworks and unbeknownst to me, he's a writer as well, who tends to concentrate on delivering the literary iteration of James Bond in a contemporary setting, taking place in the same universe kickstarted by Warren Ellis with VARGR. The comic is a one-shot, and is set to arrive on comic store shelves in December later this year.

Additionally, a non-Bond but related title is also announced. Agent 47: Birth of The Hitman, described as a "Year One" for Agent 47 and has a direct tie to the latest installment in the video game series. Dynamite is also publishing.

I am SO GLAD EON has nothing to do with the Bond Dynamite universe.

Probably re-reading HAMMERHEAD for the fifth time soon.

Going off that cover, I like that artwork, very tasteful, unlike the garish Black Box.

Definitely. It's the weakest of all the Dynamite-published Bond titles, so far. The Warren Ellis titles at least had original content, unlike the laziness of Black Box overall, even though I prefer the spirit of the latter myself.

I wonder if Naomie Harris qualifies for residuals off this?

Very much enjoyed those images, @Gerard and @ClarkDevlin. You may convert me to collecting those.
In a lighter thought, they also exposed the film title contender in the seven-letter S-word vein.

    James Bond in... SOLSTIS. [sic]

Some things we'll never know until we're told. ;)

@RichardTheBruce a few months ago, there was a rumour out there that Telltale Games were developing a Bond video game called 007 Solstice. Nothing came out of it since then though, but I'm guessing they misheard the title as being a Bond project and thought it was a game rather than a comic. Just my assumption. ;)

    And welcome aboard. :D

Yes, ComiXology claims CR is coming on October 25. They never offer wrong dates as far as I know. Forgot about Black Box. For a reason it's not listed in the site.

This is old news, but I stumbled upon this and thought it was cool:

Van Jensen was running through his copy of Casino Royale and marking the text up as he was trying to figure out how to put the action into a panel format when working with the artist. I know that Southworth got swapped out around this time, but I love seeing the creative process behind this kind of thing and there's no doubt that a lot of this survived when Jensen began talking with the new artist.

Indeed. Southworth will release his own efforts on CR soon.

It's constantly changing with Dynamite which is why I don't trust their site. ComiXology is the trusted source I always resort to.

@ClarkDevlin, what do you mean? Dynamite is allowing Southworth to release some of his preliminary art for the book?

Apparently, @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7. He claimed on Twitter that he will post his work on CR sometime or someday.

    1. HAMMERHEAD - Brosnan is still Bond
    2. FELIX LEITER - Tanaka!
    3. VARGR
