lol, amazon has updated their release date for Casino Royale to 28. November.
Amazon always seems to be up to date and more accurate, and i belive Comixology will follow shortly.
This is getting a bit ridiculous and i am starting to wonder if we'll even get it this year.

Dynamite might as well postpone it until April 13th, 2018 to coincide with the original 1953 release, if you boys can handle the wait. ;)

well, i could if i have too. but i don't rally want to.
What i can't handle is them postponing all the other Hardcovers as well.
Now Felix is moved to 28.November too. And I think they might delay Black Box as well.

Felix should’ve been released back in August. Why have they delayed it so much I’ll never understand.

thats the thing, i don't understand either!
What they need is a Moneypenny who can write some neat, made up, press releases for them to keep my blood pressure low

It's weird that the hardcovers are taking long, sure, as they are already done and only need to be distributed as usual.

I think what could've been taking the CR hardcover so long is the coloring of the pages, which may've pushed back Dynamite's ability to get the book sent out on time. Just a guess, but of all the preview images we saw of the book there were only pencils and inks, nothing more. Perhaps those were old inks and they had since been colored, but Dynamite have a habit of mostly sharing the full color pages so I was always wondering why we never got color previews for CR since it was announced. The coloring could've been done later than expected, leading us to this waiting game.

My Problem isn't that they are taking longer than expected or that the book is delayed. Quality takes time and all. My Frustration is that they are changing the Release date week by week making it seem like they don't know whats going on either. Book and comic Shops can't keep up anymore and there are literally 5 different Release dates floating around in my town. So i don't even know where i am going to buy the book, who will have it the soonest and when I am going to get it...

Some sites have still put Matt Southworth’s name on the blurb instead of Dennis Callero’s. It’s times like these that I get upset at a wrongfully advertising markets.

Well, that got behind. I guess the switch over to a different artist made the project take even longer than the new release date (October)?

    He's still drawing?

Oh, believe me when I say... Royale is not coming out in November.

I've a gut feeling it will be delayed to 2018. ;)

Maybe Fleming's 110th Anniversary? Perhaps it will be published alongside the War Years comics. Or maybe I'm thinking too much.

Yeah, 2017 was very crowded with Bond comics. An overkill would hurt the sales as their plans are big for Casino Royale as are the expectations.

True, but the Initial Release was also planned for 2016 and if they want to adapt all Fleming novels, time is not on their side anymore as Dynamite has the license for 10 years only

It's been only two years since they got the license, though. ;)

Yeah, we'll see. At the end of the day i don't even care all that much for the Fleming adaptions (someone might though). Folio Society is covering that already for me.
I am, like yourself, more interested in the original stuff.

Really enjoying Kill Count. It's lively, fun, moves along at a great pace and finds great ways to incorporate Bond's iconic supporting cast into the story.

Regarding CR - I'd rather they completely held off until it's done before announcing a release date. I hate to think they're racing to the finish line. The last thing we need is a CR graphic novel with rushed art. That would be such a let down.

Speaking of let downs, Moneypenny was a dud. I was hoping for something more but it was a very confusing piece of work. It read like something for children but yet there were some graphic deaths. It was very basic, very dull and just goes to show that not all the characters in the 007 universe are worthy of their own stories (hopefully EON are aware of this). Also, I'm growing tired of seeing Moneypenny as a glorified bodyguard for M.

Well, we wouldn't want that, would we?
Very true, but i still have faith in Dynamite and everyone involved that they understand the gravity of the matter.

Preview Image from Solstice. I don't know about you, chaps, but why does the artwork seem inferior to whatever we were shown of the entry before?
