Moore killing Silva: "Last rat standing."
I couldn't see him having the "I have no armor left" exchange.
I can't see Dalton having any confrontation with Jaws or Oddjob.
And the biggest one because people put this one in a hypothetical so much: I could NEVER see Connery delivering We have all the time in the world after Tracy's death.
I could easily see Lazenby in DAF. He pulls of that charisma very well.
I couldn't see Dalton in any of the Connery films or OHMSS.
:)>-
You can, but I can't. :P He's a fine actor, but Connery and Dalton are two different animals.
Dalton dropping the dead fish out of the Lotus
Moore shooting Professor Dent
I might sound like a broken record but it is well documented that Dalton could never do the one liners that Moore and the others excel at while Moore could never sell me on being a government assassin.
or
Connery saying: I'm looking for Dr. Goodhead. A woman?
I could see Pierce in AVTAK, TLD, and LTK and doing great,
and I couldn't see Craig in any Moore film except LALD
Connery in MR: "Oh, he had to fly."
Both had their ways with one liners, just a different style. I think both could have captured each others lines in their own way.
Good call with the Bernard Lee M getting called in for questioning!
And that actually sounds like something Craig would say.
Craig saying "No, for me" in GoldenEye... Oh... Wait... He did.
Oh, I think Connery could have handled it...
In the Bond series, he had established his character over 5 films and there was never a trace of love and vulnerability shown. I mean, could you really buy the Connery from TB and YOLT falling in love? I highly doubt they would have kept the same tone for OHMSS if Connery was in the role.
Now if OHMSS followed directly after DN or FRWL, I might be able to buy it. After GF, TB, and Bondmania exploded though, that setting for Connery just doesn't make sense to me.
