Well there you go.
🤦♂️
I suspect he just used 'James Bond' and '007' interchangeably, tbh, so it sounds like they could've been thinking of going full-on codename - the retiring agent codenamed 'James Bond' choosing his own replacement to be the next one to carry the codename, 'James Bond.' I'm glad that one didn't go any further!
Maybe he was playing the story for laughs, but I did think that surely all actors would think to say that they want to make the character more human, more relatable, more vulnerable etc.? You would think that would just be a default thing to say if anything, actors usually want to play real emotions. I'd be amazed if anyone said they wanted to make him more of a comedy character and less realistic.
I doubt it's that but you're probably right that we was thinking of the previous 007 picking Bond to be the next one, if it is that then what he's describing sounds a lot like Michael Wilson's original plans for what became Living Daylights with a young Bond fresh out of the Navy and the old 007.
True, although I think even just saying that wouldn't have been very specific. With CR being the story it likely would have been a bit obvious too. I remember Craig during an interview joking that he wanted to approach Bond by being 'humourless' (which again is a joke and I'd say not wholly indicative of his portrayal, but it very much gives you an idea of that harder edge/what exactly his different take on the character was, which made his portrayal unique).
The 6’2” actor who hails from Oxford, played Harvey Dent in the latest Joker movie, and will soon be seen playing young Richard Burton in the biopic Mr.Burton alongside Toby Jones.
Could be one to watch.
I see potential; he has a good voice.
Obviously the last time he was mentioned a certain poster assured us he wasn't attractive at all ;)
I'm sure the next actor will go to the gym to prepare for the role. An actor cannot be taller but he can be stronger.
Lol. Yeah. I remember. The poster posted bad pics of him, then another poster posted Bondian pics of him.
Yeah, I also think Lawley's got something about him.
My only issue is I haven’t seen him in anything that’s left an impression on me so far. But then again I didn’t think there was anything bad about him in Joker 2 IIRC, which is a win. One to keep an eye on I guess.
I'm really not convinced with his voice. It lacks maturity now, I think. He's too young, but at the rate things are going, he might be the right when they do casting.
Watch this trailer, for what looks like a wonderful film, until the end ; his transformation is impressive.
I like him (particularly in the cancelled show Counterpart), but he's already over 40.
Wow i didnt check his age. He could easily pass for early 30s without looking boyish.
Oh I haven't heard of that before, looks good.
Similar to Leo Suter, he'll become more suitable as he gets into his 30's
Harry has potential, just still looks too young to me.
He’s pushing 30; a few additional, quality pounds will give him a more mature look.
Youth is an asset.
