Cute but not sexy.
And in some picks a bit of a geek, he is like Daniel Radicklif but older
He does have sort of a geeky thing going doesn't he. He just isn't enough of an alpha male to play Bond in my eyes.
Yes exactly, forget if he is a pretty boy or not the problem is the geek thing, like you say he doesn't look like an Alpha male or a ladies man.
In, say, 2020 he will look different.
Look at a picture of Craig from 1998/1999 and you know what I mean. Would Craig have been proposed back then, nobody would have believed he would be right as Bond.
You may have a point after all Pierce didnt look that much like Bond till he finally got the second time around, in Remington Steele he showed lots of potential but looked very young for Bond and his looks changed for the much better by 1995.
10 years made wonders to Pierce and some even would claim his werent exatctly ready till tomorrow never dies.
So maybe i will think differently of Tom Hidelston in a few years from now
But what I like about Hiddleston is his dark side that comes across very well in movies when he plays the baddie, he's able to play anything really and he can look quite menacing and dangerous. He seems to be quite versatile in acting.
I say he has a realistic shot at becoming Bond, British, born after 1980, 6' 2" (188cm) tall, dark-haired and the closest thing I have seen to the Fleming novel Bond.
Exactly right imho. It's his edginess, combined with suaveness & somewhat chameleon like quality that makes him a good candidate to succeed DC, whenever that may be.
I´d also take Idris Elba, as long as he´d be as cool and badass as in Prometheus.
Or Ewan MacGregor.
But Elba is 43 and McGregor is 44 - surely they're too old?
Yes. Said it before reckon EON will want someone in their mid to late 30's committed to 4-5 films over a 10 year period.
DAN STEVENS FOR PRESIDENT....I mean for Bond :P
Dan Stevens is my favourite since over a year now. Sadly he is nowhere ever mentioned in the rumour mill.
Neither was Craig.
From my point of view, he came across a little lightweight. Someone who appears to need to contort his facial expressions in order to deliver a solid acting performance.
I know he is reputed to have done a good job in the Guest, and I will check that out at some point, because his name keeps coming up and he is the right age. Additionally, he is well known (or at least recognizable) around the world now due to Downton Abbey, which is probably a good thing.
Ok I see that ...maybe he would do quite well.
Thanks I'll check Hiddleston out.
I won't/ wouldnt accept ELba though as Bond is a white character. Bond isn't cool and badass in my eyes though. He's suave, sophisticated, dangerous and sharp as a knife.
Mcgregger has the talent. But age and height isn't on his side.
This is more Shaft than Bond........Next up, trailers for Colin Firth as BA Baracus, Jude Law as Axel Foley and Jet Li as John Shaft.
Ha ha? He mentions being black all the time??? He's a cool streetwise black guy from detroit sent to the white superficial environment of Beverley Hills!
