    This might be weird but I think Cavill is too big physically to be Bond. He looks imposing don't get me wrong, but he doesn't like he is a spy that could ever go undercover

    I’m not a supporter of Cavill getting the role, he lacks charisma , but like Chris Hemsworth, his physical size is not an issue. Both men put a great deal of effort into training up to their superhero size. With modest effort both are able to trim down to suit other roles.

    I think Australian actress Maeve Dermody would be my pick for the next Moneypenny (playing opposite a new Bond of course). I've seen her in the BBC's And Then There Were None and SS-GB over the last few years, as well as a supporting part in Amazon's Carnival Row and she's a great actress and presence in those shows.
    Maybe she could play Moneypenny with her own Australian accent, much like Lois Maxwell's Canadian accent?

    Cavill sounds confident enough to already publicly talk about it, so it's likely more a case of "when" rather than "if".

    I read that there was a proposal for the reboot, in order to be somehow different from the films and the TV series, would wind up with having TWO top beheading sword-wielders. The idea, however, was negated because...oh, well...you know...

    Nah, it's a great concept so I'd rather see a different take on it. The old film will always be available to watch.

    It’s a decent concept which I think the first film didn’t really make the most of (and wasn’t really all that amazing) so seems a fair candidate for a remake.

    We'll have to agree to disagree here, the original Highlander is pretty much perfect for the type of film it is, imo. What it isn't is a good start to a franchise.

    I really like the concept; the original film was good but I think the series did it more justice.
    There are some episodes, and story arcs that would have made great feature films. But , as always, the producers dropped the ball on the sequels by disregarding established cannon and continuity.

    My frustration with the entire franchise is it’s aimless inconsistency , lapses at logic and an ignoring of cannon.

    One thing that I would like for the new producers to do is to create a “ bible” of rules for the Immortal universe, something that can be referred to when plotting stories

    Another thing that I want to see is an Immortal gaining a skill after taking the head of another Immortal. Say Connor is struggling to learn how to play the piano or speak another language, after defeating an Immortal who possessed either, he would then have that trait or skill.

    ^Yeah, the Prize (and Quickenings too, I believe) were not in the original author's script, and that aspect isn't well-developed.

    The series, though being pretty good, had similar problems with not really being sure what an immortal actually gained by taking the head of another.

    I’ve never seen anyone call it perfect before. Lambert’s accent isn’t even that! :)
    I think it missed out on showing him living through history, it told us he had but didn’t like to show us.

    All in all it’s a good concept and a good movie that is ripe for a new incarnation.

    If Hoult was next well I would bleed to reevaluate my life as he is younger then me but beyond that yeah I would actually be ok with him as bond

    That’s how I felt when Craig was cast; he was the first Bond actor who was younger than me, by 5 years.

    Hoult has real potential and is one of my top candidates at the moment.

    I will be turning 42 in July and I’m fairly certain that the next Bond will either be younger than me. My top pick is still Aidan, and he’s roughly at the ideal age, mid- to late 30s.

    I still think that if Hoult was older, or at very least looked older, he’d be a fairly good pick. They could do a lot better, but they could also do a lot worse.

    All just click bait as far as I can tell. EON may have a list of possibles, but their only focus for now will be the release of NTTD.
    Casting the next Bond is a long way off, no matter what the bookmakers tell us.

    Don't know him, but I think that like Hoult he's got far more chances to get the role than Tom Hardy or other more famous actors.

    Honestly having rewatched all of the Peaky Blinders recently, I think Sam Claflin would also be a great choice. He has a good range that could work really well for our next 007.
