Moving on from that M catching Bond and said girl at it. I think that era has passed.

Would have been quite awkward with Judi Dench as M. :P

Every previously used Bond villain. I really hope that after SPECTRE EON doesn't consider remaking the original Bond films. That would be tragic and lazy.
• I almost forget in NSNA. We have a rather badly acted moment when Pat Roach drowns in Bond's sample. This really is Auf Wiedersehn Pet.

Any series of shots that shows us a bystander that is drinking alcohol who happens to see Bond involved in some outrageous stunt who then turns to look at the alcohol. This has never been funny, not from the first time that it was ever used in any joke in the history of mankind. How Lewis Gilbert and John Glen thought otherwise is beyond my ken.

I think you have to be British and of a certain age to find that sort of joke funny. My dad finds that sort of stuff hilarious.

Well stated, @MayDayDiVicenzo. Victor Tourjansky made the man-with-bottle moment something to look forward to. His facial expressions deserve an Academy Award. My favourite of the three is TSWLM: he really looks like he's getting his beach trousers wet with the wrong fluids. ;-)

I'm not British, but I'm bet that I'm around your Dad's age.

My dad's 60. His era was in the late 60s/70s so he enjoyed the crude British comedies around at that time (Carry On, On The Buses).

He's got 8 years on me. I started with Bond in '65. I just started watching the CARRY ON films over the past year, not so funny to me, so I can see what you're saying.

Totally off topic, but which is your favourite Carry On?

If you want to get a feel of the Carry On films without having to watch anymore just see the last scene of DAD.

I guess COWBOY or NURSE, at this point. But I've only seen about five. Any that you'd recommend?

Personal favourite is SCREAMING. A brilliant send up of the hammer films. The regulars all feature, apart from Sid James who is replaced by Harry H. Corbett (don't know if you know him?) Quite a fan of ABROAD and CRUISING, although I still think SCREAMING is far and away the best. UP THE KHYBER is usually ranked pretty highly, never been too fond of it myself.

Never want to see/hear (or see/hear again):

animals getting hurt

volcano lair

Nehru collar on villain

villain being related to Bond (childhood friend, okay; NOT a blood relation)

a woman being slapped on her bottom (if she is a villain, haul off and hit her, okay)

a physically menacing henchman turn into a cartoon buffoon

other "banana peel" OTT humor (including doubletaking pigeons, you name it)

a lovely scientist or agent who is actually portrayed as a bimbo

Bond in outer space (I'm just not ready for that again; MR left a lasting scar)

choppy and/or lousy editing

shaky cam

disco music

No more BMW's. Ever. Just no and I'm totally sick of any in your face mindless product placement.

This new only for Bond Aston thing makes me feel uneasy too with the DB10 having some kind of role of it's own in the film - no thank you, we don't want Knightrider dogoodery with a 'smart alec' AI car.

And no more nausea inducing Bournecam especially in semi darkness where it becomes totally pointless to follow anyhow

I think 95 per cent of true Bond fans agrees here. Is It too much to ask to see and enjoy what is goin on?

I think it makes more sense for blofeld, and I doubt that there will be remakes, just reuse of concepts and references which I also hope they don't go too far with.

Bond does vomit in the films once even though we don't see it. In Casino Royale after he gets poisoned.
In Dr. No he also retches after killing the tarantula that crawled over him.

@Ottofuse8

A few sentences from your most recent post in this thread were deleted because they explicitly referenced details from the leaked B25 script. You have forced me, and others, to read them and we had no wish to do so. Please take your time to read this thread. It may clarify our position and policy on the matter and prevent things from going bad. Thank you.

I think it would be cool t revisit places seen in previous Bond films in the context of new stories. For example, it worked well in Skyfall to see Istanbul and in Casino Royale to see Venice, and in the latter it kinda helped wipe away a previous bad experience. Love to see Bond in Brazil, Japan and New Orleans, and even New York.

I know the Gondola sequence is bad but it at least had some good cinematography and some good classical music over the top. The Moonbuggy scene is just boring.

Yes, that ending of FRWL had been gnawing away at me for years as well. ;)

You are correct, sir, had forgotten about that awesome end to FRWL! I was referring to the diabolical happenings in MR years later.

Ben Whishaw as Q (despicably bad)

Bond crying (almost ruins the movie)

A pigeon (pigeons effectively should be exterminated so we make sure it will never happen again!)

CGI people, explosions (if they can't do it properly, they shall not do it at all)

Madonna (neither singing nor "acting", how could they do that to us?)

Another remake of TWINE (once was enough with Skyfall)

M for more than 7 minutes in one movie (the bloody writers shall come up with something original for a change)

James Bond in swimwear (no matter how hot he looks in it)

A Bond actor looking unfit and/or old (DAF and AVTAK are bad enough in that regard)

Gun-barrel wrong or at the wrong end (Cubby would turn in his grave)

No black and white sequence (was this supposed to be arty? just bloody stupid)

Haha…I love this.

Long action sequences that don't involve Bond (looking at you, Michelle Yeoh)

M telling Bond to go have sex for information (Brosnan was pimped)

Villains who don't open their mouth to speak (I can't hear you, Green)

Alicia Keys (You know why)

Plastic surgeries (failed in DAF, failed in DAD, stop)

Bond in a skirt (Who picked costumes for OHMSS anyway?)

"Pussy" (Prefixed, suffixed, in the middle, standalone)

Beach Boys music (Unless the whole movie is a period piece)

The Carribbean (period, Miami included)

Forced product placement is the last in a series OMEGA; of things I do want to see.
