That is so weird as I was going to follow up my post (sorry, long lunch) by saying that I would LOVE to see the Moore films subjected to a fan edit (like someone did with the Star Wars prequels) with all these moments removed, re-edited or rescored.

I dream of the day when the LALD car jump is accompanied by nothing more than the Bond theme when it hits dirt on the other side.

I have about three weeks leave before my next mission begins starting in 36 hours, so I may attempt that. I have zero video editing experience so it would be a very rough process. I actually made this thread (http://www.mi6community.com/index.php?p=/discussion/10613/fan-edits) for this topic.
That would be a severe fan edit.

    Haha very true.

Dr. No: has a lousy soundtrack.

From Russia With Love: is slow in some areas and has a stupid ending.

Goldfinger: is mostly boring and has a stupid main villain.

Thunderball: The underwater scenes are slow towards the end and Largo's dubbing is obvious.

You Only Live Twice: Has bad space special effects and a boring story. Blofeld is reduced to a short tiny man who Bond dwarfs and is not intimidating at all.

OHMSS: Lazenby is weak. His accent sounds American at times and the angels of death are annoying.

DAF: Ruins a great story arch by being stupid. Connery is too unfit to play Bond in this outting and is visibly bored throughout. Blofeld is literally character assassinated and reduced to a cartoon villain. In hindsight it makes a perfect sequel to YOLT which is how I'm able to dignify's it's existence.

LALD: Too slow in some spots.

TMWTGG: Already said my hate on it.

TSWLM: The soundtrack is dated and sucks.

MR: The soundtrack was lost and never found a complete release. That's something about MR I hate!

FYEO: Slow in the middle. And the finale is weak.

OP: The silliness of the Jungle hunt sequence ruins a pretty decent scene.

AVTAK: Roger's Facelift forever ruined his good looks. Zorin is hammy and Stacey is an idiot. And Chuck Lee is pretty bland also the SFPD are pretty stupid too. Also...who keeps explosives on a blimp?

TLD: Tim's jokes are horrible. Kara is too much of a damsel. Koskov and Whitaker are as bad as DAF's Blofeld. The cello case sled scene is stupid and ruins the credibility of the film.

LTK: Ed Killifer is silly. Lupe is awful.

GE: Who is piloting the tiger besides Xenia in Monty Carlo?

TLD: The Stealth Boat finally is the same as TSWLM's.

    TWINE: Renard's not so invincible...

DAD: The Second half of the movie.

CR: Too much Cranky Judi Dench.

QoS: Bad editing, Too much cranky Judi. (WHY CAN'T SHE TRUST HIM YET....) And seeing her in her bath cycle...gross... Weak villains. Not enough Bond theme!!!

SF: Weak soundtrack. Poorly placed CGI. A few too many plot convinces.

    I hate the Thunderball PTS.

Not me, the jetpack is a real gag and still pretty awesome.

Oh no, I get that the jetpack was awesome for the time - but it all seems totally pointless, stupid even, and very dated.

    Yeah, Rent-A-Goon?

And "They'd never seen a human before"?? Why didn't the Talosians' just read her mind to see what a human looked like?
    ooops, wrong series... :\">

The jetpack has always bugged me too. It seems like the most conspicuous way to infiltrate a place possible. It's not like the building was an inpregnable fortress otherwise. I think a better use would have been to scale St Cyrils in FYEO.

    Murdock has inspired me.

DN: Bond was a bit of a jerk. Plus the retroactive radioactive lab.
FRWL: Bond slaps Tatiana because he thought she was in cahoots in Kerim's death.
GF: Poor editing on the de-fusing of the bomb. Reads 007 and Bond says three more ticks. A horrible oversight.
TB: The ladies wore too many clothes in TB.
YOLT: The idea of ninjas, hollowed out volcanoes and turning Bond Japanese.
OHMSS: Poor Tracy was abused so much by Bond her daddy. And she wanted six kids.
DAF: I'd type everything down, but I have to be at work in 17 hours.
LALD: Excessive use of the word "honky". Us white folks have feelings too you know.
    TMWTGG: Bringing back Sheriff Pepper.
    TSWLM: Using disco music.
MR: Everything involving the last 30 minutes of the film.
FYEO: The PTS and the scene with Thatcher.
OP: Just the title, But that would have involved a lot of re-writes.
    AVTAK: Anything involving Grace Jones.
TLD: Kara was kind of annoying. Plus the duel villain concept didn't work as well.
LTK: Felix should have been depressed that he would not be able to walk for another 17 years.
    GE: Jack Wade
    TND: Paris Carver
TWINE: That it would be Desmond's last appearance. And the high school drama.
DAD: I'll leave a few blanks for everyone to fill in. You can't go wrong. Add your own if necessary.
    _________________________. ____________________________, ________________________,
    _________________________, ____________________________, ________________________,
CR: Using Mathis's character as a scapegoat.
QOS: Marc Foster and/or Main Title song.
SF: Having Moneypenny's background as a bumbling agent.
    SP: Leaked script

Not casting Dalton in FYEO was the single biggest missed opportunity in the history of the Bond series.

Agreed. Been thinking about that lately. FYEO through LTK. Dalton could have ruled the '80s. And FYEO, OP, and ATVAK all could have very easily been tailored to Dalton's style, and all would have been better for it.

Kerim has a point. I've always felt bad about David Hedison's acting in LTK.
For God's sake, Leiter just lost his leg, his wife was recently raped AND murdered and he found it in him to smile and laugh when Bond talked to him over the phone in an unnecessary warp-up.

Deplorable writing and acting if you ask me.

The way Dalton yells "DELLLLAA!" when he finds the Leiter's always made me laugh, and not in a good way.

You know, we all should be thankful that Pierce wasn't in LTK.

Not only would Pierce have been out of place in LTK, but his kissing dead women fetish would have really felt more awkward than usual.

The PainFace is fast becoming Brosnan's legacy around here.
One question; what are the other Bond actors "not so enviable" legacies?
