    Thanks for the CR pic @bondjames. Haven't seen it for a while and I'd forgotten just how great Craig looked in that movie. I think Craig was at his best, looks wise, in CR. I liked a lot of his outfits in that movie. The suits looked great and I liked how he also wore more casual clothes too (like at the airport, where he just has a simple T shirt, jacket and jeans, that's the sort of thing I wear most of the time, or the different clothes he wears in Venice, those are outfits that I'd wear, I actually have a long sleeved polo like the one he wears during the sinking house sequence, except it's black rather than blue) rather than just waltzing about in a suit no matter where he was. I think previously when they put Bond in casual clothes it looked naff but CR was the first Bond movie I can think of where Bond dressed more casually and still looked cool. Same in QoS but I can't remember the clothes from that film as well, probably because I've seen it less.

    In SF I thought his haircut made him look older and the suits seemed too tight. Seems to be back on form in SPECTRE though. Love that pic of him behind the desk in M's office, he looks great there. Proper suave.

    Something I'm looking forward to is seeing Craig rocking the tux with the white dinner jacket. We haven't had that for a long time.

    Just watched Casino Royale last night, and his suits do look fantastic. Following @SirHilaryBray, however, the SF midnight blue tuxedo in Macau, and especially outside on the dead island, are to me the height of the DC era thus far.

    Urgh, Craig's casual outfits in CR were great and his dinner suit and 3 piece were great but his other suits, namely what he wore at Montenegro was awful. Too baggy.

    I agree @livingroyale. I think Craig looked great in his suits and casual wear in CR. I realize the fit was a little on the looser side, but I preferred it to in general to some of the extra snug outfits in SF, particularly since he was most built in CR. He does look great in that SF photo on the island from above though that @NickTwentyTwo posted.

    CR nailed it in the casual wear dept imho (apart from the size of the Omega PO on rubber in Africa - which should have been the 42mm and not humongous 45mm version).

    When I first saw the movie in the theatre, I was ecstatic that they appeared to be evoking the Connery look from both TB & DN in the casual dept. I did not know if that was conscious or subconscious. Well it appears it was a conscious decision made by Lindy Hemming (noted in the article I posted earlier). I particularly liked the dark blue short sleeve Sunspel Polo, which reminded me a lot of Connery in TB. I have one just like that. Connery also wore a long sleeve polo at Shrublands in TB just like Craig.

    Interestingly, Lindy Hemming also did the clothing for Nolan's Batman films, where I thought Christian Bale looked absolutely fabulous in his suits.

    I found this quote from her in the article quite telling:
    "apart from the width of lapels, I don't know that Bond needs to have changed much from Sean Connery to now."

    I always thought in CR Craig dressed very much like Connery in both DN and TB too.

    The looser fits in CR are symptom of the era, as the tightness of the SF ones. It just reinforces that to remain timeless, balance is needed. You could walk down the street with the suits from Dr No today and no one would blink an eye. The CR suits did fit at least, whereas SF did not.

    I agree the casual wardrobe in CR was great. Also would love to see a return of the white dinner jacket, especially with a shawl collar.

    I think we should all just agree that tailoring is not exact science, and that no one can simply claim that the suits in SF did not fit Craig. Does anyone here really think that Tom Ford and Jany Temime don't know what suits fit and what don't fit Daniel?

    I agree @doghouse. It's a matter of balance, or symmetry . More plainly, it's a matter of proportion imho.

    The one on the left is a shawl collar, the one on the right is a peak lapel.

    Yes I like that. Nice detail.

    Think a carnation would be too pastiche. That Goldfinger look is of it's time. If keep simple. No square, no nothing if white DJ. But it would be awesome.

    A white dinner jacket with shawl collar is a very difficult thing to pull off. Craig is wearing a shawl collar in the photo from SF above anyway but it's easier to make it work well with a darker tux.

    I notice Connery and Moore above are wearing standard sized butterfly bowties, while Brosnan is wearing a jumbo butterfly.

    I'd personally prefer a simple pocket square for SP.

    Black studs (like Brosnan)?

    Craig's dinner suit/bow tie combination have always been a perfect get up. I'm confident he'll look fantastic as he always does.

    Amazing how Bond can afford to ruin his £3000 Tom Ford suits with every mission on a relatively modest wage. His wardrobe must be in a never ending state of flux due to damages. Perhaps he claims expenses from the govt. as per our lovely Politicians? His apartment looks swanky too. I think I prefer Bond looking swaggy up without being showy. The sunspel polo and chino look is a fave of mine.

    Anything can look good on a well toned person. A polo shirt (as above)looks good on Connery and Craig, but put the same item on a man with moobs or beer belly and you get a completely different look altogether. ;)

    Maybe not a Chelsea mews but certainly an impressive building.
    I wonder what the interior decor will be like and if they'll introduce Bond's trusty house maid, May Maxwell?
