Why use artwork from QoS for CR??
It makes it even worse that Danny is in nearly the same outfit on both covers.

But the re-release covers from DN-DAD look great! I'm really digging that Live and Let Die cover.

Come to think of it, I think they just photoshopped off the pocket for the CR cover. Hopefully this is just German artwork, and not the official for US/UK like @Samuel said. I mean, how can you not put Eva on the CR cover?! They would fly off the shelves.

I am eager to see the covers for CR and QoS. Will they do them in the same vein as the others or use the existing Blu-ray cover art for both?

So far we have had new DVD covers in 2000, 2006, 2008 and 2012. Make it stop!

Actually, the German covers match nicely with the October 2008 release of the previous 20 films. So there You could have a complete 22-disc DVD collection in one packaging design. However, the 2008 design didn't come in German packaging . . .

But I agree with You. How often can You re-re-re-re-release a title in a short period of time . . ?

The redesigned blu-rays look absolutely smashing! the fact that they used the best promotional pictures ever for FRWL, OHMSS and Goldeneye makes this release a piece of art!

They won't give them new covers.

Now then... we've learned from our industry sources that the 9 other classic Bond films (previously unreleased on Blu-ray) will all be made available as BD singles as well - initially as various retail exclusives and then more widely in early 2013.

Great to have that confirmed. I hope all the films get a release on BD in the UK too. That way, we can buy them on their own and not have to worry about a non-complete, 'complete' set!

So to make it clear, the seperate Blu-Ray discs is they only going to be released in UK? And it is no information about the special features neither?

@MrBond, the separate Blu-Ray discs will be released in US. I didn't found out about its release in UK. About the special features, I think they are the same from the Ultimate Editions.

Also new in UK, the re-release of Casino Royale on Blu-Ray and DVD. The covers are the same from the 2007 release but the 007 logo color matches the one from the new 2012 editions:

Why the h**l do they release that edition again?! #-o EoN, why do you just give us the new right version?! ~X(
  • It's because they're releasing The Right edition using this cover. In case you've forgot, the BBFC has just re-evaluating the special features (previously used in the Collector's Edition) and gave the film a 15 rating. They're using the same cover, but it's going to be the same edition as the Collector's edition.

The release in 2007 whas 2 disc CE, that dvd from HMBFF his post is a 1 disc and then it be re-release of the 1 disc who is released in 2008. The only 1 disc exist in 2007 be a rent version simalar to first disc of the 2 disc CE, but there also exist a rent version where the Videoclip of Cornell be include whyle with the 2 disc CE that videoclip be on disc 2. We must also keep in mind, it is possible of course that it wil include the first disc of the 3 disc CE.

But i must give a litle warning to Dutch, France and Spanish people in specialy if that going to be the case: With that release there changed the audio of the movie for people who don't know that. Because of the 2 audiocommentary tracks. The audio of the 2 disc CE is a 448 track, the audio track from that 2008 - 3 disc CE be 384. Mabey Unneed if there have yused a 192 and not a 224 track for the 2 audiocommentary. Also the 3 disc edition have 3 other audiotracks besides English and 5 subtitels include English and Dutch for the movie. Some mabey remember the SE shared France and Italy, for this edition of CR we also shared with Spain. The first 2 CE release have 2 other audiotracks English, Spanish and Catalaans, 10 subtitels include English, Spanish, Catalaans and Dutch & 2 start uptrailers.

For those who were interested in the HMV preorder with the art cards but were put off by the extra cost, they have now matched most of the other sites at £90.

@HMBFF Do you have any info on the BOND 50 Blu-Ray box set subtitles? Amazon.co.uk still has nothing.

Sometimes I think QOS were the Cut-scenes from CR that wouldn't fit in the 2h release frame the studio decided for the movie. Both movies are great if watched as one otherwise QOS looks like a TV Pilot for a unproduced Bond TV-show and not like a Bond Movie - way too short - so where is the other missing hour. ;)

This might sound stupid, but is there a DVD version of the new boxset? because I've spent way too much money this year as it is. Saying that though I have all the films on DVD anyway, so I might just skip it altogether.

I already own five of the films on blu-ray - FRWL, TWINE, DAD, CR, and, QoS - and just added another four to my Amazon cart for only $30 and free two-day shipping. I'd like to wait and find the others for a cheaper price, just so I'm not forced to buy the box set and have duplicates.

@thelivingroyale, do you own the full box set of DVD's that was released a few years ago? If so, the last time I checked, you could trade that in to Amazon for $80 and pick up the full box set that releases this year for a little over $100. I may trade in my box set and get as many as I can with that money. I could probably buy all of the ones that are currently out with the $80 I would receive as an Amazon gift card.

The remaining 9 (previously unreleased) Blu-Ray discs will appear as store exclusives in October. 3 will be in Walmart [GE, OP, DAF], and the remaining 6 someplace else to be announced (3 in Target? 3 in BestBuy?) This is for the USA only, mind.

There will be no complete DVD boxset, just Blu-Ray.

Thank you, I was wondering how it would happen. I feared it wouldn't be released until SF's home format released, as previously rumored by someone on these boards. Well, I know where I will be come October. Is there a release date for GE, OP, and DAF just yet?

Ahh this "store exclusive" stuff is becoming more and more common. But at least they're being released!

Sorry I haven´t read the whole thread.

Did anyone yet mention how the quality of the br is in comparison to the dvd?

These covers are really ugly! I'd prefer the original poster draw lay outs. That would've been the best hommage to classic Bond.

Tomorrow Never Dies even has a bad choice of picture of Bond..
No, since Tomorrow Never Dies all the posters and covers don't have any soul.

However, from these blu ray renditions I must say that I don't dislike the covers from From Russia, On Her Majesty's and GoldenEye.
