The way he looks recently why not switch off the light completely?
Another one?
I think Bond 25 will be reasonably stand alone, a straight forward character driven film to send off Craig's Bond. Perhaps also with a patriotic air.
Before Bond
Bond 2006
Craig in Dream House 2011
Bond 2012
I don't think that's what we will be getting. Boyle's longest film is 122 minutes.
I wonder if this will be the 'set-up' for the next actor as well, similar to how DAF set up the Rog era? I can't imagine, based on the evidence to date, that EON thinks that far ahead, but I'd like to hope so.
But I wasn´t expecting anything else...
I believe someone told you that you must have a perfect view of a part of your body, and I must agree-- an incredible talent you have there.
Best,
P
OMG, you're right! In a way, it's fortuitous. Remember how DAF introduced the overtly comic elements of Moore, but still had that edge which was customary of Connery's run? And remember how DAD gave us a glimpse of the introspection of Craig in the opening scenes, but still supplied us with barrel fulls of OTT action that was what we expected from Brosnan? Well, if Boyle is an arty director in the mould of the Craig era, but with a 'kinetic' and playful energy, that might give us the first hint of where things go next...
Damn he looked good in 2006.
Never going to get another film like that out of him now.
Or alternatively it's possible that B25 sets up Craig's career post-Bond, by bringing him back full circle to his pre-Bond 'Indie' days, which culminated with Layer Cake.
Layer Cake was the best film Daniel could have done as a Bond audition, great film and he was awesome in it.
That too.
I don’t know, but I do recall that he loves The Wrong Trousers, which is a masterpiece.
Too bad he's not returning for the TV sequel, Viva La Madness. Jason Statham is currently attached.
It's true, and Apocalypse now is his favorite movie ever

Hopefully he gets Pemberton in for score, he'd do bloody well.
Having watched the Danny Boyle radio interview posted recently here quite a few pages back when this rumour first broke, I can say that — when asked about his knowledge of Fleming novels — Mr Boyle came across as very passionate. He also confessed to having been a huge fan; having read every single one of them as a young man. Which is kind of ironic as Boyle's been labelled as a staunch socialist, therefore one would have thought Mr le Carré more to his liking. Quelle surprise, it seems not. Boyle was and IS a huge literary Bond fan. One can only hope that his enthusiasm and knowledge of the Fleming classics translates itself to the big screen. Having said that, I know nothing of John Hodge's expertise on Fleming. Come to think of it, I recall P&W used to boast of their superior knowledge of Fleming and Bond, but fat lot of good it did them.
As someone who only drops in here occasionally, could someone post that radio interview again or point me to the page number? Would be highly Appreciated.
Your time might be better spent seeing Boyle's genre movies, which will give you a good idea of how skilled he is at ratcheting up suspense. SHALLOW GRAVE (written by Hodge), 28 DAYS LATER, and (especially) SUNSHINE are all tense, nail-biting thrillers.
