Highly doubtful. They don't cave to rumors and gossip, and will make an announcement when the time comes.
I don't know where or what you base these ideas on @Mendes4Lyfe
Anything is possible of course. But Craig will no doubt appear in Bond25.
Sorry to burst your bubble.
Title for the next movie ?
At least a tagline!
Or the title of the DVD "Making of"
Yep; and I fear even with Boyle's fundamental understanding of the character and the world in which he inhabits, we're going to get a neutered version of that vision to avoid "causing offence"; which has already been in play for some time now.
DVD Making Of? Surely you mean bite size snippets that were already released on the internet during filming. ;)
My guess is that he will be very involved and work closely with Hodge on it.
And if Boyle does get it, this is who I hope plays the villain
I disagree, the guy has menace and I enjoyed that part of as Scarecrow in the Dark Knight Trilogy and as the Villain in Red Eye. He Outstanding as Shelby in peaky Blinders.
Would agree, he has worked with a lot of them, and many will see this as their in.
Which will only make sense if the material is actually good. Waltz was shamefully forgettable and poor as Blofeld.
Exactly. I'm fully hoping EoN to be on top of this like it's a do or die situation.
Danny Boyle worked with David Arnold in A Life Less Ordinary (1997) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119535/?ref_=ttfc_fc_tt :)
I would have agreed with you pre Peaky Blinders but he's really great in that show. There's something Connery esque about him there.
If we're looking at actors Boyle has worked with before though I really want Christopher Eccleston to do it. He's worked well with Craig before, I think he could play a vicious psychotic bad guy brilliantly and such an unashamedly working class actor could make a great foil to Bond's snobbery, it'd be something very different.
He's said in interviews that he's a fan as well, I remember when he was doing interviews about Doctor Who returning he couldn't say he was a fan himself, but he said he understood why the fans were so protective of it because he was the same with James Bond.
He was also Boyle's music director for the London 2012 opening ceremony. If the job is Boyle's, then I really wouldn't be surprised if Arnold comes back.
Same here,Arnold is second best only to Barry.
A fitting conclusion to the Craig era but of course what does this mean
1. The end of Spectre Blofield and all the plot points left unresolved from 2006-now. Look I get it Blofield is iconic fine give him an iconic death at the end of Bond 25 personally the end of the character in You Only Live Twice (novel) would be quite cool
2. A rock and roll theme (sorry but in my opinion You Know My Name and Another day to die were the best title songs since Aha The living Daylights though Goldeneye is ok) give Craig another one of those for his finale
3. Give us a great score (again Casino and Quantum were light years ahead of everything since the living daylights)
I get all of that Uwe Bowll can direct for all I care
100% agreed.
Also get rid of the Scooby gang and just keep Fiennes as M. Moneypenny and Tanner had minor roles in the novels and Q only showed up once anyway.
Naomie Harris, sadly, is wrong for Moneypenny. Heck, I could’ve taken her as a female Robinson type who’d be more combatantly involved. Sadly, she couldn’t pull off Moneypenny. Not that the writers are helping her in keeping the characterization intact anyway. So, I wouldn’t fault her in that department.
Fiennes needs to tone his temper down and be more intimidating in a cold way as Bernard Lee was. I like him as M at the very end of SF and I hope he becomes a more traditional one as well as having a special working relationship and increased mutual trust with Bond.
How meta.
