"I hear the Boyle deal is done.
His musical will start filming next month. It's a pretty small production and there is a chance it'll be released this year (possibly premiering at the London Film Festival). Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come out later. Bond goes into production in Jan and Danny has committed.
No idea on story or plot. John Hodge's script is apparently further than we think...
There is also a school of thought that Danny is hedging his bets. Supposedly, his Beatles film hasn't totally secured rights to the music. Hence, why he entertained the Bond idea. Suddenly, it looks as though both projects have momentum and instead of committing to one over the other, he's decided to do both.
However, there is also the slim possibility that one (or both) falls through."
I still think this guy is probably making all this stuff up, but it's possible he isn't lying.

Both Barbara and Michael were in London yesterday to deliver a prise to the young filmmakers at the Into Film awards.
They presented alongside the (rather beautiful) Hermione Corfield (who I sat next to her on the tube once...)
Wishaw was very annoying in SF but then the part was also very poorly written and I don’t think they knew what they wanted to do with the character - or perhaps they did but then realised they were on the wrong track because in SP I think they got it pretty much spot on. The tedious computer hackery garbage was largely gone and it was more about the character. Wishaw won me over in SP.
Harris is so so and Fiennes sadly rather disappointing.
I would not be unhappy if none of them appeared in the next film. May be just very brief scenes if they have to feature.
Would be nice to see Felix return though. Played by Jeffrey Wright obv.

Very interesting. I kinda thought this Beatles movie would start filming sooner than later, plus I think I had read that in one of the recent articles concerning Bond 25. Perhaps there’s legitimacy that Boyle & Hodge have had an idea in mind since 2012, hence the reason Hodge may be further along with the script than expected.
Well according to this reporter at metro he spoke with boyle and boyle confirmed he is directing bond 25
1) He is a big fan of the Fleming novels, so really understands the character and the world Bond lives in. This is a biggie for me.
2) Arnold will almost certainly return if Boyle is directing, and he is number 2 to Barry. I really hated Newman's last two soundtracks.
3) The signer will most likely be someone Boyle is a fan of. Here's hoping its Noel or Liam Gallagher - all Manchester crew together.
So not confirmation then. Misleading headline as is all too usual nowadays. At least there's now a direct quote from Boyle himself that matches up with the rumors.
EDIT: Good to hear from the man himself about it though. And end of the year shooting? Interesting.
It would be great to have him back; I think he would return with a lot of energy and with something to prove. His last two scores were outstanding.
For the title song either one of the Gallagher brothers would be great. I saw Noel live last week and he was incredible . After two ballads, particularly the dreary one by Sam Smith, Bond could use a bit of arrogance and swagger.
Surrender by kd Lang is probably the next best effort - should have been the title track.

I would also be all in for a rock title track for Craig's last 007 film plus also loved "You Know My Name" - which was perfect for CR. I still get goose bumps when the track starts right after the alternated gunbarrel sequence of CR. That one remains the only exception that worked brilliantly but should have remained the only altered gunbarrel sequence.
I agree with you on the rock title track. Bookend the tenure of Craig please.
Agreed. Despite being overjoyed with Danny and more so with Hodge ousting P&W I'm slightly trepidatious with this 'big idea' they have.
You'd hope Babs & MGW were not so desperate to get them that they have signed up for some ridiculous notion that makes brothergate looks like peak Fleming.
But overall it's a risk worth taking to get some fresh and talented blood in.
Its another building block for a decent/good Bond movie. As fans, you can feel the excitement start to build and we should temper our excitement - at least for now.
