    SPECTRE was the only Bond film I didn't sit thru the credits to see "James Bond Will Return" .

    I did on the third viewing, and as I left the manager offered me the Bond/Madeleine standee from the foyer.

    Come to think of it, back when it came out, I was a die hard fan of SP.

    Absolute Gold, that is how you modernise a Bond film while making it a timeless classic. Nothing flashy, great Fleming source material, clever ingenuity to bring elements up to modern times, but keeping the location, wardrobe looking classic. There is a recipe in Casino that should be followed.

    A new actor and a fresh take. Essentially moving away from what the Craig era has been exploring.

    Indeed. He's no Desmond but I do hope he gets to stay through the next few eras and grow with the series. Wouldn't mind seeing a much older Whishaw still in the role in a couple of decades.

    While I do believe it’s probable he will return, along with Harris and possibly Fiennes, this still isn’t a total confirmation.

    It's really a sad state of affairs with the news media generally. They have to compete with blogs and social media for eyeballs and so are forced to recycle speculation and dress it up like fact to get a headline. I'm quite disappointed in The Independent.

    Actually, he only said this a few days ago, I believe.

    And yes, it is a confirmation. He's doing it; doesn't know details. His most recent statement prior to this wasn't much of a confirmation, but we suspected:

    And me as well. Some of them wait until the very end of the credits to come but I don’t mind waiting. I also don’t skip to the end to see it which is odd now that I think of it

    I didn't always watch through the credits (despite a few particular films, and I always did when seeing them in theaters), but when I went through that year or two where I re-watched the installments endlessly, I found myself leaving the credits on for each one. Now it feels natural to do so every time.

    I'm still holding out hope that someday they'll at least be able to plan the next title in advance in an era, so the films can start utilizing 'James Bond Will Return In (Insert Film Title Here)' again at the end of the credits. Would be refreshing.

    It was easier when there were more titles to use from the original Fleming. The best ones have already gone, IMO.

    In my world, Remyland, that title was already used for Dalton's third film.
