Was hoping for a Bond 25 nugget today. Oh, well.
Again, I doubt they would have anything to announce at this stage.

a short "James Bond will return" teaser will do...

Is the Aston Martin tit-bit really the latest news? And this is indeed GLOBAL JAMES BOND DAY?

I must say I feel indifferent about the Aston Martin news. I'd like to see him drive a Bentley or Lotus for a change.

I wouldn't want that guy near a Bond film, ever. He's certainly one of those pseudo socialist fellas who thrives on informal social movements for the communities but doesn't give a rat's arse about leaving an entire film crew unemployed for a year. He's clearly an intelligent and proficient fella, but not suited to the glamour Bond needs. Some people on the feed are calling him a virtue signaller and a lollygagger - first time I'v heard these, as I'm not british. I'm not a conservative nor a liberal, I'm an analyst, and these social types with their fighting views and lobbies are just as bad as the right wing types, with their garrote agendas. Now, give us a true artist behind the wheel and we'll be fine. Mod Edit, Mr. Boyle.

That's all, sorry for the rambling ;)

Not sure if I agree on every single word but I really enjoyed reading your post @Univex

I've only seen a few of his films, so I'm not well versed in Boyle's work. Even so, I'm glad he's out and the new guy is in. I had kind of a bad feeling about Boyle and his self described great idea.

Thank you my friend, just ramblings on my part. But I really am more than happy to see Fukunaga get the job instead of Boyle, for many reasons. Never been a fan of any of the Boyle films. Not even the trainspotting ones - theme presentation wise, and technically speaking even. Frenetic colourful and music videoclip - like is not my coup of tea.

Dua Lipa denies recording James Bond soundtrack
    hollywood.com/general/dua-lipa-denies-recording-james-bond-soundtrack-60733691/

In a recent interview with British GQ, Dua admitted there was no truth to the rumor, and was unsure how it had started.

“I have no idea about this,” the 23-year-old insisted. “I don’t even know where all these rumours began. But of course I’d love to do the Bond theme tune.”

The New Rules hitmaker went on to share that the film producers had not even been in touch about the soundtrack, but is secretly hoping the speculation is true so she can join the ranks of music legends such as Madonna, Adele, Nancy Sinatra and Shirley Bassey.

“It would be a great opportunity. If the rumours are true, I’m over the moon,” she smiled.

Danny Boyle has betrayed the Bond franchise and its fans. I have zero interest in watching another Boyle movie.

Oh, come on. He just left the project. Calling it betrayal is ridiculous.

It's no big deal about Boyle. I'm sure he's tired of being asked "What happened?!".

Anyway, I hope we hear something on the music front next. Just my wish.

Meanwhile, it is global James Bond Day indeed - so here is Sean, back when he really enjoyed his work. ;)

We don't even know if he left. He might have been fired for all we know. I think we shouldn't pass judgement as long as we don't know the full story.

Besides, if Boyle felt he couldn't deliver a good Bond movie, why would he stick around?

"We're talking about real heroes instead of fictional heroes."

Did he seriously say that? Now I'm glad he's not directing B25. Is he aware that Bond is based on Ian Fleming, whose services during WWII saved many lives and contributed to end the war?

As for the theme song, there's no way the theme has been recorded already (meaning the article is pointless). WotW was recorded about nine months before the film's release, there's no reason to think they're going to record it earlier, especially since the script is not complete and they may nit even have a title yet.

I don't like Dua Lipa (not my cup of tea) and honestly hope someone else gets the gig (Arctic Monkeys are my number 1 choice).

It just seems like sour grapes from Boyle. It's understandable, but that doesn't make it any less disappointing. I have always liked Boyle and rate a good chunk of his filmography, but until Bond 25 is released and behind us, he'd be better off keeping quiet about any misgivings he may have - regardless of their legitimacy.

Oh, I took it as Boyle speaking for himself that he's focused on another film. Moved on.

And diplomatically redirecting from his departure from BOND 25, which he shouldn't really be commenting on at the moment. Already part of Bond History with the Olympics short feature. He's a little more in now, short of outright directing a feature film for the franchise.

Boyle is a die hard PC liberal and was a wrong choice from the start. I knew something was up earlier in the year when craig said "we'll see" in response as to Boyle directing.

If Boyle is overly PC, then it’s a good thing he isn’t directing James Bond.

He was talking about how the Me too movement was gonna change the way we view Bond... yeah no thanks

Not exactly related to Bond 25 specifically, but didn’t know where else to put this.

Wise words from Barbara. Create new and interesting characters for women, don't swap the gender of pre-existing male characters.

PS - Broccoli's film Nancy premieres next week at the BFI London Film Festival. If interviewed, it's likely she'll be asked about B25.

All hail Babs. And yes, a Bond film centered around Me Too or starring a female Bond doesn't sound appealing to me.

That’s why it was a smart move on her part to produce The Rhythm Section. A spy movie starring a female character. That’d shut a lot of people up rooting for a “female Bond.”

Boyle isn't overly PC (oh my God I hate that expression, it's tossed around all the time and used in the wrong way 99% of the time), he's just a director who can actually think with his brain and is interested in social injustice (how that can be regarded as PC I'll never understand). Sometimes it works in his films, sometimes not.

I think he would've been a good fit for Bond as he really is a big Bond fan and a great director with a vision for all his projects.

Good lord everyone, calm right down. Boyle's trying to help observe Armistice day. That's bigger than any movie franchise, for god's sake, and trying to suggest that it's disrespectful because Fleming served is ridiculous.

You can be upset about Boyle leaving, dislike his films, or whatever else. But trying to spin his Armistice Day project this way makes all of us look bad.

I don't think Danny Boyle will be losing too much sleep about any "political" criticism he's receiving for walking out on Bond. He's a man of integrity and obviously doesn't need to bow to corporate bigwigs.
