Not that I'm advocating for delays this long. 4+ years mid-era is certainly stretching it.
But if the turmoil we've been through during the last year was the price of where we are now -- which I'm tremendously excited about -- then it was a price worth paying.
Happy to get the news whenever we get it.
Perhaps Baz’s just getting badgered by ppl like our poster (I know I did!), and he just was saying, tongue in cheek, that he better get back to work.
No news last week.
I doubt anymore than that this week.
Yes, I tweeted him earlier in the week I believe. No response.
The proof is in the pudding.
Could be @Blofeld0064 , I just had my own communications with that poster, and I know he gets aggressive for news. And when he doesn’t get it....
So I just took Baz’s words as tongue in cheek, lol
I'm not one to toot my own horn, but.....Baz does tend to respond to my tweets only when it comes to Bond.
This is me:

We've grown a certain kinship over twitter and he tends to message me back. In the last update he even asked how I was. I could ask again, but last week he indicated that he was working on something, so let's leave him be for the meanwhile...
Also, Baz dropped a big scoop yesterday about Lily James and Armie Hammer staring in a remake of Rebecca, so perhaps he's moved his scoop day from Thursdays to Wednesdays. In which case, we missed this week already.
All food for thought.
I saw that scoop. I truly enjoyed the novel and am excited to see what Ben Wheatley can do with it. I dont know if anyone saw High Rise but it's very atmospheric something any adaptation of Rebecca would need. Also could see Ben doing a Bond film in the future.
Glad he gets back to you at least!
Cary Fukunaga's BOND 25 begins filming in 109 days!
This is a great time to be a Bond fan!
Cary is in Conneticut according to this post.
I highly doubt those photos are recent. If you're in London you'd know it's far from tshirt and shorts weather. That photo was evidently taken in summer.
I apologize it's from Greenwich Connecticut I mistook it for Greenwich in London. Though they are still likely old photos.
109 days really is nothing.
We do have news before the films comes out - and it is up to us, we have choices, how to shape that. How much we learn. Granted, it is difficult at times when media becomes flooded with the news. But we have choices if we have self restraint and at least an idea of how much we really truly want to know ahead of the film's premiere.
I grew up loving Bond films and with NO news at all before the film came out, other than the lead actors. Whatever ad was put out. That's it. It seemed like a long wait at times (well, sometimes it sure was a long wait - LTK to GE!!) but yet, even back in the Connery to Moore years, it was exciting. The NOT knowing much at all was in itself a nice tension for me. I was so eager when I walked into the theater and sat down. Just waiting for it all to be revealed - like the best Xmas present ever. I wanted to be surprised, amazed, taken on a Bond adventure that was utterly fresh for me.
I managed to avoid the spoilers for Skyfall. I chose to know a bit more about Spectre but avoided main (plot) spoilers. I will at some point again leave this forum as Bond 25 approaches. But these days I have every Bond film at my fingertips, forums to chat on, a wealth of great books on Bond films ... yes, this is a great time to be a Bond fan. I just know myself so I can make it be the best experience that I want it to be. The wait for Bond 25 does not bother me one bit. I am thrilled Cary is on board. Yes, James Bond will return ... and I will happily have an appetizer of news beforehand, but not the main course.
It is the best time to be a Bond fan. While waiting for the new movie, I discovered the greatness of the books and Dynamite Comics, while playing the video games. While waiting for something you can discover something new that's great!
For me personally, with Bond 25, my excitement should rise a lot more once we get title/casting/filming news. Being in the dark for me with the next movie is sort of a less interesting time as a Bond fan for me. There is a ton of new information ahead to look forward to, but I need to be in the midst of it for my excitement to really take off.
MGM's latest comments on bond 25 in their latest investment call.
Treasured evergreen franchise. I like that.

Very interesting interview and probably the most revealing insight into what he is doing on Bond 25:
- The story will follow Craig's narrative arc that began with CR;
- Fukunaga hints that Christoph Waltz may return;
- Exotic locations confirmed; and
- He's writing the script.
