Well he won’t Chris Macquarie will
So does that mean you're not really a Bond fan? =))
Right - so Bond 26 will just be another Michael Mann rip off. Easy.
I expected so much more. We need a Bond film not an action cash grab come on. I could be wrong but I feel like Craig’s last film will feel like another Quantum movie. He will try and bring in another mysterious organization, it’ll be fast paced, lots of action, not enough plot development.
I actually really like Quantum but I felt like after Casino Royale it was so small of a movie. Same with SF and SP. I don’t know how they spent the money they did. Every Bond film has a good flow to it and the stories are amazing but Craig’s films have all felt lackluster to me. Minus CR.. My actual Craig ranking is
1) Casino Royale
2) Spectre
3) Quantum
4) Skyfall
Skyfall didn’t feel like a Bond film to me. The ending, playing home alone on the abandoned pinewood set wasn’t climatic enough for me. I do love the courtroom shootout, the opening is great, the flow is something rare with Craig’s films it almost felt like casino royale to me. I just didn’t like the whole bond being washed up story line. James Bond doesn’t get washed up.
He’s supposed to handle his own against John Wick, Bourne and Ethan Hunt. He’s supposed to be the best.
Love and marriage for tattooed Bond? asks ADAM HELLIKER

But that's the whole point of SF, isn't it? A "what if" 007's age and place in a world that's largely left him behind were addressed directly, both as the driving theme of the film and in the literal narrative. And while Bond "loses" in the sense that M dies, he "wins" in that by the end, he's reinvented, reinvigorated, and ready to press on in an emotionally adapted way. A hopeful message -- maybe the the most hopeful you can have.
Not to make this a Skyfall thread, but knowing they're willing to take a run at that kind of bold choice gives me high hopes for Bond 25. I doubt we'd see that exact angle repeated again, but something similarly disrupting and thought-provoking powering B25 thematically would be welcome.
Just brainstorming, based on rumors/speculation we've already heard:
-Bond pulled out of retirement, a meditation on whether you can ever truly go back to your glory days...
-Bond working with a 'protege'-type figure, looking at the dynamic of passing a torch between eras and whether a man like Bond even can leave a legacy...
-Bond caught in a FRWL-inspired spy web, forcing us to ask if the enemies we think we've killed are ever really dead...
-2 hours of James Bond literally just trying to get through one normal Christmas dinner with Madeleine's extended family in their Jamaican home, examining whether or not domestic existence is even conceivable for someone who's lived on the leading edge of espionage (and presumably a torture far worse than anything Ernst Blofeld could conjure...)
The thing I trust most about it is the director and that he will have a sure hand on the script. Cary is a good storyteller and really has a great eye for putting things across visually. I think he respects the Bond franchise, the foundation of Bond, but naturally wants to put his own stamp on this, to do his own storytelling of this character James Bond. But I also feel he can keep things reined in - not go overboard in any direction.
So where we find Bond in this film, and whatever arc he goes through in this particular story, is intriguing. I'm quite optimistic about Bond 25. I don't even care to speculate too far on what the story may be. It's nice for me, for once, not to be worried.
Mind control.. I think we all remember the plot of 007 being mind controlled to kill M. That would be interesting and right up CJF’s alley.
That would be TMWTGG book opening finally used which would have been grand in Skyfall after being killed.

Glad to know Bond 25 comes out in less than 3 months! :))
I suppose Panchito was right to be suspicious-- they were holding this info back from us all along!
Secretly directed by Danny Boyle, secretly written by John Logan.
yes!
Could work now as well. Even more so. Better than that is M assigning Bond with an impossible solo suicide mission, say in Japan, in order to prove himself valid again. Get him swimming with barracudas, crossing the garden of death and all. What a film that would be, eh?
I agree with this.
Valid in the sense that he isn't brainwashed anymore, not like SF valid. I too don't like the "Bond having to prove himself" angle that's been (ab)used in the last films.
In fact, M sends him to that suicide mission because he knows he's actually the only one who can do it.
There, fix it for ya. Cheers.
