Three single-worded "S" titles in a row would really kinda stink.
  • Shatterhand will not be the title.

What do you mean by "stays"? It was never the title. I will say this: if the great Cary Fukunaga agrees to a title as stupid as Shatterhand, then I have gravely misjudged him.

Its working title is "Shatterhand". That's what I meant by "stays".

I think I'm going to reserve judgment on Fukunaga being 'great' until I see his Bond film. I'm hopeful that it will be better than the last one, but great is a term I generally reserve for directors who have delivered a bit more than he has to date, decent though his output has been.

    No, it's not.

I'm almost getting excited now for B25.

No your supposed to be afraid and angry like the rest of us ;)

Obviously I am kidding and am quite excited too

    LOL!

I'm trying to hide my concerns with quiet, dignity and grace...........actually I'm quite guilty of griping about the long gaps and gunbarrel scenes.

My biggest hope at the moment is that once the film is underway the excitement kicks in and this new film jump-starts the series for future outings (with or without Craig).

I just hope we don't have to wait until 2026 for the next Bond film. Given all the announcements I've largely (but not entirely) written off 25. A bad 25 and a five to six year gap? I think I'll be content with the original twenty.

I am dying to hear what they will reveal at the press conference in fewer than 77 days. Hopefully a significant percentage of the questions will be about the great Danny Boyle.

Would hate to think that would be a topic of conversation at the press conference. The conference should be strictly about the movie & the current creative talent behind the film.

I'm afraid Barbara will have to man up and openly discuss why Boyle left the project. She has no choice.

    They likely know the title.
I've quite liked some of the Craig-era title suggestions that other forum members have said it it includes, like Once Upon a Spy or Nothing is Forever. I'd be happy to put them in a group with Shatterhand as candidates.

What about Paul Haggis' Sleep of the Dead? BTW Once Upon a Spy and Nothing is Forever were respectively the titles of Peter Morgan's draft and P&W's draft for Bond 23, prior to the Mendes/Logan arrival that led to Skyfall. I don't think they're goin to recycle titles from the past, especially with a creative like Fukunaga at the helm of the ship. :)

She doesn’t and she won’t. This is Barbara’s circus. She makes the rules.

I'm willing to bet that this ends up being like the Spectre announcement where they didn't open it up for questions. IIRC the announcement only revealed the cast, the title, and the Aston Martin DB10

They did hold interviews afterwards, though.

I much prefer this format better than the traditional press conference. Have EON/Fukunaga come up, announce everything they want to announce, and then hold individual interviews with the press. Much better than having awful journalism guide the conversation, thereby skipping potential interesting news because of stupid questions.

No, have Boyle come up first, explain what he wanted to do with Bond 25 & why he left, then have Fukunaga and his cast come up.

It is a real possibility, @Bernie99 . I am sure that Djawadi and CJF have crossed paths more than once in their days at HBO.

I'm afraid that's nowhere near the end of the discussion. Boyle has already stated he will talk more about Bond 25 in the future. Does Barbara really want Boyle to be the first to talk? I don't think so!

I haven't seen any reports that Boyle has "something to reveal or say." Regardless, I doubt that Boyle will air dirty laundry or attempt to throw Babs and DC under the bus. It's in very bad taste.

I agree. I have been saying this ever since Blade Runner 2049. (Still bummed that Villeneuve is not directing...)
