Imagine an unbroken shot of Bond chasing or being chased on foot in the rooftops of Matera... this will be something.
I'm still holding out hope for Lana del Rey or Lady Gaga.
Yeah, let's leave all those crazy ideas to Tom Cruise ;-)
A footchase in an old italian city, featuring rooftops? Why haven't they thought of that before?
Dua represents everything wrong with modern pop music.
Dark, I've no problems with. Depressing like Logan? I'd rather have my head get slammed with a calculus textbook 24/7.
Why would you want something original when you can just copy something else? Everything should be the same.
Not to get too critical or go after you but that sort of stuff isn't a laughing matter just saying @jake24
true
Yeah I really don’t trust that article.
Agreed. It would make Brofeld look like fine writing.
I mostly remember being so excited for Skyfall, and it just unfolding for me ... fresh, untainted, without me wondering ahead of time : Oh here comes that scene, or Oh the big explosion must happen here. Not that I would even think it consciously. But you know what I mean. I think I left the forum 3 months ahead of its release but stayed off any related threads from earlier on.
After I saw Skyfall, at some point I revisited the production thread. And skimmed backwards a bit. I remember towards the ending somebody saying "Ok, so that's the last thing we figured out " (keep in mind, this was posted just before the film was released) .. and something about "Yes, so we have figured out every sequence now." And I remember thinking, Wow - I am so glad I stayed off this thread.
I guess I may need to leave this one soon ... I will try for a couple of more days. Or maybe just wait till the title of the thread changes to let me know what actual news has happened and then decide to dip in here or not. That seems best for me.
Because, as a lifelong Bond fan (of nearly 50 years), I love this character, this adventure so much ... I appreciate the not knowing ahead of time. I know how exciting it can really be when seated in that theater and the music begins, the PTS unfolds, that gun barrel. All of it untainted. I do love it, and I want to give that to myself as much as possible these days (not easy). It's an earned gift.
I do love the locations... ecstatic over Jamaica. Now, I want to know the cast, title, the composer and then steer clear of this thread and any other info until the movie comes out... I may even try for the first time to avoid the trailers.
For me - part of the fun is spending months unravelling as much as possible. I even had to read the SP script beforehand. Bond was never "what's going to happen" for me, but rather "how do they pull it of". And even though I know what's going to happen, there's still a lot to digest in those 2+ hours. Scripts, news reports and production stills say nothing about the score, the acting, the camera angles, the editing and so forth.
I'm the same. I find these endless spoiler tags ludicrous. I could know every single detail before watching it and it still not affect my enjoyment of it. To have spoiler tags for mere supposition is so daft. It's like stepping on egg shells.
My thoughts exactly.
With the description of the scene in Norway, especially if
... ICEBREAKER
I can see it now, action scene on the frozen lake, segueing nicely into the titles, images of Bond slipping under the water, ice shards floating around etc.
When Federico Fellini (who was a big fan of the James Bond films) was working on his penultimate film, it was about a Japanese TV crew that was visiting him while he was supposedly making another film at Cinecittà. He wanted an exotic title for the film and he was also quite fond of Akira Kurosawa, so he asked about the Japanese word for interview, hoping he would get something that sounded great, like "Rashomon" or "Yojimbo".
They told him that the Japanese for interview was... "interview" (more exactly "intabiew"). He used instead the Italian word, "Intervista", which definitely sounded classier.
And let's not talk about "007 in New York". Picture how confused people would be. "Is New York the title of the film?" 'I want two tickets for James Bond in New York.' 'No, sir, it's actually 007 in New York.' 'James Bond will return for 007 in (yawn...) New York.' 'Wow, this title combines my two favorite things: 007 and New York. And, now, I know that 007 will indeed be in New York. During all the movie. That's the whole point. He starts in New York, he can't get out of New York, even if he wants to, and he finishes the film in New York. The girl is from New York. The villain is from New York. That's one of the most exotic films in all the series, except for New Yorkers.'
Are we getting a Bond 25 spoiler thread? The spoiler tags are bit annoying.. 90% of them are just typical tabloid rumors.
Doesn’t filming start this month? April/May I assume we will have lots of set photos?
We already have set photos and a set video from this week.
So when can we expect a title announcement? I thought they would’ve announced that maybe this month or next. They typically do it when filming starts...
They'll most likely announce the title at the end of this month or right before filming at the press conference. Unless it's leaked like SF was.
Also I am in favor of starting a new thread for spoiler related items
@JamesBondKenya yeah I don't want a spoiled spectre experience again since these movies now seem to come out so long lol
As soon as the press conference comes, I am leaving this forum and unsubscribing from all bond related things. Spectre was spoiled for me before I saw FOR MY OWN FAULT because I was too involved in all the production details. I have waited too long for B25 to have it spoiled now.
Was that what spoiled it, or was it the mess that was actually on screen?
Plus again...
I know nothing of course, but I don't see any possible connection between 'Mothers' and Bond 25. I could see this being more of a working title for 'Skyfall' than anything else.
